  • I painted the lights myself with VHT Nightshades... the RFL didn't hurt the performance after the tune, performed flawlessly once tuned out. it had Megan Racing coilovers, I don't care what anyone thinks about them, so STFU, they worked great for the price and didn't leak on a car that was mainly highway and city driven, no tracks, no rallying. The wheels are 5Zigen ZR520 in 18x8. Car had HKS foam filter, Grimmspeed EBCS, Invidia cat-less down-pipe, and SPT catback WRX, tuned by AWDTuning

  • Are you the dude in Austin/somewhere in Texas that was at Meld's garage day with the AWDTuning folks like 2 years ago? Just curious if this is the same FXT.

  • Hey man I am getting a Fozy. I like those smoky tail lights, where did you find those?

  • sounds yummy

  • Thanks for the video, man! You helped me buy a fozy! :D

  • who makes a stiffer anti-roll bar for the 2010 FXT? all the one's i've found are for 2007 and earlier.. ;-(

  • Because I lived in Houston... Not like it's going off road.

  • Yuck it's lowered. Why lower a Foz?

  • @Matty231 Why wouldn't you lower a Foz? Best thing I ever did to mine.

  • @Matty231 Then you can't take it off-road where Subaru's belong!! :P

  • sounds like it's whippin ass! nice foz man!

  • Dats nice I pefer the MY07 foresters you get the best of both worlds a WRX alike and suv but now it just looks like a family car

  • all new-gen forrester XTs are autos huh?

  • @isthissnfree

Ya I don't know why subaru decided a vagina needed to be mandatory with the turbo now

  • I really like the ride height. What type of setup did you use?

  • Nice!

I've been thinking about doing the same thing. Which Invidia downpipe did you use and did the O2 bungs have to be relocated? ...Thanks

  • Wow this XT sounds incredible

  • Always cool to see a tricked out Forester.. Do yourself a favor and ditch the ricer RFL valve..The stock valve will hold over 20psi and the vehicle will run flawlessly. I can hear the car stumbling due to valve clear as day. I am a Subaru Technician for a living.. Trust me.. The blowoff valve does nothing but hurt Subaru's performance. I talk people into reinstalling their factory BPV all the time and they always thank me for it.

  • I agree with 2LTRBO. I have a stock BPV holding 20psi without an issue. A quick search on any Subaru forum would tell you that a BOV(VTA) is a bad idea.

  • @evilmicah not new bov's , Vw/audis say the same thing, but they are safe to use.

maybe just get a diverter valve , the stock valves wear out when upping the psi.

  • @2LTRBO BOV are fine to use with an aftermarket road or dyno tune

  • @iTzSiiDv2 There is no real way to tune for a BOV if you are using a MAF setup. The MAF is measuring your incoming air and when you blow off your car will run pig rich for a second due to that air no longer being there.. You can't get around that no matter what you do.. A tune may make it seem less noticeable but only at WOT and even then it will still run worse than if it is recirculated. Thats just the facts of a MAF turbo car.. Trust me, I actually know what I'm talking about..

  • @2LTRBO Really???? the stock is better then a TIAL blow off valve???

  • @sada3393 I am talking about the stock Bypass Valve, not a blowoff valve.. Blowoff valves are all well and good for vehicles that don't use a Mass Airflow Sensor because they don't cause advere affects. On vehicles that do use a MAF, ie Subaru's, they will hurt how the vehicle runs. The Bypass valve recirculates the air back into the intake keeping it running properly. A BOV vents the excess air and messes with the fuel tuning.

  • @sada3393 My original point was if you are running less than 20psi and want to keep the vehicle running smooth then just keep the factory valve. Sure you can buy a shiney alternative but it's not going to make the vehicle any faster. The only Subaru's that can run a Blowoff valve without some kind of adverse affect is one that has been converted to Speed Density or use a MAP sensor. Those are few and far between and are usually built to run much more than 20psi.

  • @2LTRBO Would there be any way to get the RFL without hurting performance?

  • it sounds fine, and you don't need to let it idle - the turbo is properly cooled regardless of the engines running state

  • i wont say your wrong, but not entirely correct. the statment you made is very openended. it may be fine, it depends on the day, is it a hot/cold day was the car driven hard? etc etc if the car is driven hard on a cold day and you turn it off we will see how long it lasts.

  • This has been covered on the subaru forums many times, and if you look at the service manual for the WRX/STI you can see the turbo is properly cooled. Doesn't matter if you drive it hard on a cold day and shut it off. As long as heat rises and high pressure seeks equalization with low pressure, the turbo will continue to be cooled even with the car shut off. A turbo ttimer is not needed.

  • Although modern cars are better equiped to handle start up and hot shut off applications in day to day situations in no way can you say that someone who drives like myself " a car enthusiest" can be put in the same category, as impeller fusion or cartidge failure is always a possibility. And my advice to you dont believe everything you read on the car forums

  • thats exactly the problem. is it either cools too fast when hot or is not sufficiently cooled while still in motion. Regardless of what the manual says, a timer is still a "good" idea..

  • Holy shit i want my xt to sound like this!

    Nice freaking job!

  • Please tell me how much it costed you cuz i would like to know so i can do that with mine

  • Tell me who you got that all and what was the cost cuz i want to do that to mine

  • way to void warranty. Cat back only if you want to keep 3 year factory warranty you newb

  • factory warranty for what? just the whole car in general? or warranty for the exhaust system?

  • really? i just bought one and was hoping to change it to a full 3inch :(

  • You just spooled the shit out of that turbo by reving it like that and shuting it off right away.

  • BLUE SMOKE IS A GOOD THING... IT MEANS THAT THE FOOKING THING STILL STARTS...lol

  • it's sick man....take care of it :D

  • very nice clean sound and i like the whip sound after the high rev

  • sounds mean, and not annoying.. I dig it.

  • i see blue smoke

  • i agree, probably thrashing a motor thats not run in yet.

  • Nice...
