@jeremymccovery Well said! I love The Strokes, too! I think there's a huge difference between English and American music culture. The American music industry is so much more about making money than the quality of the music, whereas I feel like all the Brits care about is making great music...it would certainly explain why they have decades full of great artists even though the U.K. is such a small part of the world! ha ha

Yes Blink 182 and The Libertines are both different but I like them both and they both deserve respect for their music

You BRITS are so lucky! This Sure beats the FUCK out of the blink 182 crap that is passed off as music here in the states! I love the libertines!!! Love the Arctic Monkeys as well. Of course I loved the Clash and the Jam when I first heard them way back in the day.

@MrGreenblink182 Of course, my first ever CD was The Best Punk album in the world..ever! 2, with Sweet Gene Vincent, Hangin' on the telephone, pretty in pink, spanish stroll, etc on it. A seminal record.

@doobiescoo1 I know how you feel! I think my friends and family are getting sick of me complaining that England gets all of the good bands. My two all time favorite bands are The Clash and the Libertines. But I do love the Arctic Monkeys and the Jam too.

@doobiescoo1 The STROKES are nice as well. The great American Strokes were often associated w/ the Amazing English Libertines. And NO one say stuff like "The Strokes suck!" or "the Libs are WAY better than the SHITE eating Strokes." Because I like them equally they are both awesome bands with well-used potential, raw vocals, and amazing/relatable lyrics. The nation doesn't MAKE the band, the MUSIC makes the band! Just saying, mate =]
