  • Having watched this a few times, I've got to conclude that, that was the dumbest thing to ever try to do. I don't see any overhead electrical wires feeding that working traffic light. I'd say there underground lines and live ones. Only one reason they should have never tried driving into that water. Lucky to be alive for sure. Now two hydro-locked engines. Valiant effort is one thing, placing more lives in risk is stupid and so not called for. I can't help but ask WHY. Dumb, very Dumb...

  • These guys weren't helping here. They now need the "help" because lack of judgment. If u don't think their stupid for doing that ur stupid!

  • at least they tried something

  • The man on the bridge and the people who have commented negatively over the last week regarding this video...do not seem to understand that these young men put themselves at risk for our nation of their own free will...when one comes to rescue you like the 5,000 or so people they took off of the roofs of houses in Katrina...

  • @Staymewithflagons I think you will probably show more respect. The water got deeper as they went...they hit a dip with moving water...thank God they got out fine. And yes...keep the windows open...best to get out that way. God bless all of those who are there when we need them. Some are probably 19 or 20...and take an oath be be there for us.

  • For the people claiming it's impossible to judge the depth... Bridge clearance is at least 14' 6" .... If you see 2 feet between the water and the bridge.... do the math.

    Very basic math.

  • i stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the uhhhhnnnnnnnblblbwhrllllllffffffffgbl gasp fblllllwhhdladvhhhllwhrl fuckin blbblhhh truck mmmlflaauuhhhh

  • seriously these guys dont know when to get in a boat instead of a truck?

  • It's New Jersey. This is no surprise.

  • These are FMTV's, they are not amphibious trucks. The cabs are not water tight so it doesn't matter if the windows were open the cab was completely flooded. They can ford 60" of water...not 120" the engine snorkel can be seen right behind the cab just above the water.

  • Hey Dusco. As you've probably been made aware by now, these are specially designed amphibious trucks to be used in flood areas. They can operate almost fully submerged. With dark, murky water like this it's next to impossible to gauge the depth of water. These guys are making a valiant attempt to rescue flood victims. How bout giving them credit for that instead of you highly ignorant comments...

  • @alpsskiman No, those ARE NOT amphibous trucks. These guys are lucky they aren't dead. The average National Guardsman has NO business doing water rescue as they are NOT TRAINED for this. Their chain of command should be reprimanded for sending out with NO training and no safety equipment. These trucks will have to be completely rebuilt, they're trashed. This kind of work should be done by FD, USAR, or Coast Guard. Before you ask, former NG, current Firefighter/paramedic.

  • thats some dumb dumb shit ....

"he's got his window open" !!!!

there is some dumb fuckers in the army

  • lemmings

  • Well, that was an expensive drive.

  • lol amphibious vehicles? if theres a driver they obviously can't see shit

  • Oh I was commenting on the advertisement. This is so dumb.

  • This sounds like Dumb and Dumber which was a great movie too.
