That being said it's gonna be harder to squeeze power out of them because mechanics have to learn the intricate systems and mapping that is being used. In a few years these car are going to put out insane numbers and crazy times

this just makes you wonder how much money i cost to make this machine produce these numbers, in all probabilty you can get the average muscle car CLOSE to this level but the engine life will be shorter and less effecient, but for less you get less, and i dont know about you guys but i want more.
As for the Mustang we all know the 5.0 motor can produce tried and true high HP. It just does it old school style. Meaning building (modding) is much simpler = much cheaper. Thus producing high HP at a more economical rate vs. the GTR. So in short if you just want a drag car performance for the least amount of cost. The Mustang 5.0 is your choice. If you are looking to rule the street at all cost (literally) then GTR is your car. As for the interiors both lack the maturity of true super cars
IMO I believe the reason way AMS is so excited about getting into the 9 seconds is the following reasons: a) According to Nissan the ECU is "hack proof", except authorized dealers. b) Transmission has mixed results with high horsepower c) Extreme horsepower confuses launch & traction, logi-center diff all of which of course takes orders from the ECU. So basically it's more then just chipping the turbo is more like rewriting the entire operating system to run at high boost. Extremely complex.
That's cool and all, but. There are cobras and trans-ams in the 1000 hp range that have been out for a while now. The reason why this is "show-cased" is because it's really difficult to get these "cars" up to that speed with out have to spend everything you got. For instance: this car is worth atleast $130,000.00. A cobra in the 9s would cost a total of $50,000.00 or less (including the cost of the car). Just my two cents. Nice car though, I would drive it...

My C5 Z06 with a stock bottom end and a procharger F1-A makes 817whp on low boost and I've been over 200mph in it and nothing fell apart. I think you're just angry that you can do more with an American platform than ANY other for 1/10th the price.. Keep crying though.

And most of the people who own these cars wouldn't be spending everything they got to get it into the 9s.
