BTW this is the best emulation i have ever seen in history!!!

  • SIMPLY. AMAZING.

  • how did you do it?

  • what font did you use for this?

  • were can i download this?

  • I have been confused about the WeatherSTAR 4000 emulators... Does it actually emulate the hardware? or are these emulators just a pack of images and sprites put together to render these reports?

  • were did you get the animated icons?

  • great video!

  • how did you make the words go across the slides?

  • 1 person likes accuweather instead of twc :p

  • Where can I get the emulator?????

  • how did you put the radar on it?

  • is this on the computer?

  • COOL! How did you get the radar to animate?

  • Nice job animating those icons!

  • I Want To Know About How You Do The Ticker That Goes Across!

  • what ticker? u mean the ad crawl?

  • yes

  • I did that using After Effects.

  • U Mean Adobe After Effects?

  • Yes, I'm just saying After Effects for short.

  • Where is the download for this? I Went to the forums but couldn't find it. I Really want to try this out.

  • It's an After Effects project he did. ;)

  • The Download link is in the describtion box. must be a member though.

  • i have one question, how do you make a ticker go across the bottom of the screen? i don't know how.

  • by ticker you mean the ad crawl? thats done by extending the position of the ad off the screen.

  • yeah but how do you animate the words to go a certain direction and how slow or fast you want it to go? when i type words on a ticker, its like a still picture

  • go ahead and accept my friend add that way i can message u a better explanation :)

  • Dude!!! This is AMAZING!!!!!!!

  • wow that's like the real thing even the radar looks like the real intellistar doppler radar

but what's the name of the song i really like it

    XD XD XD XD

  • He got that off of his real IntelliSTAR. ;)

  • This is not an emulation, this is the real IntelliStar. Awesome job!

  • Thanks! :]

  • at first glance I thought this WAS an actual Intellistar recording! Amazing job!

  • Glad you liked it!

  • what program did you use?

  • Combination of Photoshop and After Effects.

  • This is my LAST question - On the "Local Forecast" screen - did you make/find the conditions animation on the right side or did you use that from TV. And if you madefound it how or where?

  • Yes, the animations on the right side is from TV. I edited the animations in After Effects.

  • whatever

  • Where does the narration for this come from?

I want to use narration for my emulator but don't know where to go for it or what to do - the emulator is done except for that so...

  • Dude, you seriously need to stop going from video to video and asking people for there narration.

  • Where did you get your icons from (website) ?

  • TWC Classics forums, the link is on the right.

  • Okay - thanks

    In what section?

  • I believe it's under "fan art." Search for the Icons Thread.

  • Thanks so much! Other videos mention that you have the blank templates for IntelliStar. I created ones by hand, however I'd like to incorporate some blank templates.

  • Hey - I am really looking for the topography on the radar like that forever! Could you possibly tell me where you got that, and also, where did you get the clouds background? Nice work altogether!!!

  • Thanks! The radar is a snapshot from the actual Intellistar. I googled the cloud background. I'm sure u'll find it. ;)

  • How did you get that part of the IntelliStar map? From a recording of an actual IntelliStar?

  • Yes

  • OMG this looks just like the real Intellistar! This wasn't an attempt, this was a perfect emulation! How do you do it.

  • stop posting with my user peter! plz!

  • After Effects. :)

  • @codefreak5 That is the same question I was asking to.

  • The music is playing From The Ashes by Patrick Yandall

  • Cool!

  • This video is awesome! It looks even better in high quality!

  • I like this song!

  • i like this song....TWC has been playin some good music lately...

  • wow.....thats awsome

  • How do you find intellistar icons?

  • It's available on TWC Classics.

  • Where can i find them on TWC Classics ?

  • Search for the Icons thread.

  • Where can I get a reliable After Effects ? Also, I wonder - how do these other people (like tylert120, Intelliguy, etc.) get these "current conditions" and "tonight's forecast" maps. And how do they find that narration (I have searched for it everywhere)?

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP - I REALLY APPRECIATE IT :)

  • Adobe's website offers you a free 30 day trail for After Effects. You might have to ask other people on how they get there other resources and maps. My maps are from the original IS.

  • I tried opening them in flash player, but when I downloaded it from the Adobe website, I was unsure how, and I also opened them with Quick TIme, and then was unsure what to do there either. Did you have a suggestion?

  • I was going to mention that you get rid of white by using Color Difference Key in AE. I'm sure there's a way of doing it in Flash, but I haven't messed with it much. Im not sure how Quicktime could do it, unless you had Quicktime Pro. There are other programs out there that have ways of getting rid of white, such as masking, and other color keying techniques.

  • no i don't have After Effects, however I do have animated icons (.flv / FLASH VIDEO FILES) that I can't seem to get rid of the white background...!

  • Where did you get the background and music from in the begining of the forecast where it says "Local on the 8's"?

  • The video in the background was stock footage, and the audio was from TWC's 25 year anniversary along with a long "whoosh" sound I added.

  • I know, but where did you get the music in the 25 years introm from a previous forecast or what?

  • The music is from the TWC 25 year promo that was shown on commercials.

  • Wow, how did you get it???

  • I recorded the promo when it was shown.

  • Oh alright.

  • Thanks. I have all of the IntelliStar icons - how did you use After Effects to animate them?

  • Do you know After Effects? Anyway, it was a matter of adjusting anchor points as well as putting a rotation on the icons. Sorry for the late response btw. :P

  • I could tell you how to get rid of that white in After Effects; What program are u using?

  • How did you make this? Specifically the radar, and the animated icons-- Thanks :)

  • I used After Effects to animate the icons, as well as put together this video. The radar was a capture from T.V. with my assets layered over the recording.

  • oh this song is good.i hear it sometimes on it too

  • niiiiiiceeeeeeeeeee, i want to make things like this.

  • You made a mistake on the the Getaway Forecast, you spelled the abreviation for Wednesday wrong, it said "WEN".

  • Holy crap! This is almost identical. Fantastic Job! Deff going into my favorite category.

  • How long did it took you to do this?

  • A week to make the assets and another week to put it together.

  • Wow!

  • Wow, that is quite impressive, Jess. Awesome work!

  • I'm speechless because is too good, lol. I also favorited this video!

  • Kickass!! I love it!!

The song is "From the Ashes" by Patrick Yandall

  • Wow, this is really good, esp. the icons (yes I can see the sun animating)! Also, I love the incorporation of the animations on the 48hr forecast pages, as well as the radar captured from tv!!
