@popsicles2 He could just be not familiar with the outdoors...I didn't really bring mine outside for the first year or so (though we handled her constantly, and she was very used to us), because we lived in the city. The first several times we had her outside, she would flare her beard -- even at us (mostly if she was on the ground and we were standing up)...now we live out in the country, so we have her outside all the time and she loves it...she is even used to all of our cats.

Thats why most people dont buy beardies with nipped tails because it will stay like that permanently. If your beardies taill fell of it could be tail rot and i reccomend a vet asap

You should NEVER put a lead on the neck of a lizard - the only safe place is just before it's rear legs. There are harnesses that fit on the front legs, but IMHO they are not good either.
