  • I think this was may have been filmed the weekend before Thanksgiving in 1992. A college friend and I were in the area at the time, an I remember lots of damage on the east side of Indianapolis.

  • Wow. I feel really old for remembering this.

  • Whatever happened to Greg Todd?

  • Can anybody give a certain date on this? I'm from Ellettsville and it would be cool to know.

  • I'm from Ellettsville! Our fifteen minutes of fame haha.

  • I remember this too!! I think this was anywhere between 1993 and 1995. I was going to Arlington High School and I remember the church that was being built at 46th and Emerson got hit and a few homes around it! WOW!!!

  • 1992 is a good guess, going by the radar and graphics....could be even a year or two earlier....Dave James was with WRTV until, IIRC, 1999 or 2000? Bob McLain and Dave were together at the station for about 2 decades.

  • That's a Advanced Designs Corporation radar system.

  • It was most likely in the early 90's and during a weekend as David James was the weekend meteorologist. Also I can tell it's at least early 90's if not sooner by the type of radar view they were using. I miss seeing that. I used to remember Bob Mcclain would walk off screen, hear him flip a switch, and then only the turbulance (Purple Colors) would show up. Classic stuff!

  • I think this is from 1992.

  • WCPX used that same 6 and also WRTV still uses that 6!

  • and KFDM in Beaumont

  • @jwgreek8606 WBRC in Birmingham also had the same logo back when they were ABC.
