I think the opposite, this is no fake like in a musical, they are not pretending they love each other but they DO really love each other, actually they are married, if you didn't know this fact... And this song is said to be part of their love history (sorry about my English...)

Of course there are some programmed dances and steps, but I still say that their looks at each other look very very real to me (much more than the fake ones from other musicals where the actors just met that evening, :-)) I don't know John from before, but in some other videos I see here he looks just as romantic and dreamer than in this one :) Anyway, though I'm a fan of their rock songs, I just enjoy this nice love story.
