  • Once again a very nice video. Apparently, the painter standing in front of the canvas is not the only artist out there ...

  • Excellent scratchbuilding job on the barge. How many hours did that take?

  • 10? 12? I'm not sure, I did it over several weekends. My first attempt was using basswood, which started warping. So I went with styrene, which I am more comfortable with. I didn't have prototype measurements in mind, I'm not that exact. I did it by eye and went with what looked right. Thanks for the compliments Coach! :)

  • Simply fantastic.

  • Sorry for the double comment , but I just watched this video again and I'm just still shocked by how good your layout is. It should be in a freakin museum or something! Seriously! Question: what did you use for your river water? I'm going to be doing the river on my layout soon, and as of right now I'm leaning towards using envirotex. Thanks!

  • Is that a photo on the artist's easel?

  • @rhbeadlejr

Yes it is. I printed a digital picture on copier paper. Then I made sure that I put the same cars back on the carfloat! :)

  • that must have taken forever

  • Wow fantastic job on the barge! It looks professional and you should be proud of your work! Million stars.

  • Frank, after your last message about the rooftop sign(thank you by the way), I went to your flickr channel to check out the pics.. I saw your artist, the new tug and the barge under construction. Said to myself, these must be new additions we havent seen yet, and presto... you do a new video... lol. I saw the street fight too, that was pretty cool. You have captured our old neighborhood to the "T". Rob is correct, you are a definite model master !!! Bravo Sir !!!
