I would have to have an experience to believe that there's something to the other side. I have fainted a few times, but didn't go all the way out / flat line. I hear other people's experiences, but like i said, i'd have to see Heaven for myself before committing to believing it. I hope there's one, and it's not just build-up talk, and if it happens, it's just ALL Black on the other side. Oh man, that'd suck So freakin' bad!
Look it up in the other youtube video, 16yo had NDE, she went to hell and met an angel that looks like Angel Gabriel, blonde hair blue eyes but the opposite kind.. a MEAN angel, laughs at her & with a marking on the forehead "666".
Remember, Satan can pretend to be someone holy & maybe he pretend that there's no hell. A real holy ghost would never pretend but can only encourage you to be a better person. Satan would lie that there's no hell in order for you to do bad things & he will reap souls thereafter.
hmm I don't think that "god" was talking to this lady.
Dr. Michael Newton has a lovely series of books called Journey of Souls followed by Destiny of Souls. Through past life regression hypnosis he's done hundreds of case studies about the spirit world, and past lives and ALL of them have extremely similar things to say about it. This ladies experience sounds exactly the same as the beginning of his book, but he goes into more detail and the entire process from death to rebirth. Check it Out!!
I did not have a NDE. I asked for the Holy Spirit cutting off ALL media, pleasure, friends & ALL things for 30 days, decided to give ALL MY TIME & mind to GOD alone, other than work, asking to LOVE LIKE Jesus, asking to have HIS HEART, HIS SPIRIT, HIS Mind, I gave up with "the law" of God, I concluded I suck! I can't hold the law! I can't LOVE!!! NOT REALLY! SO I read it asking, not quitting, cutting off all things, then a few weeks later, still going, I woke up engulfed, Jesus came to me.
If there are any unbelievers / Christians out there that have never had contact with Jesus, I mean MORE than confirmation, HIM coming inside them making Himself ONE with them, for REAL, not just faith but that faith blossoming into a ONENESS that is undoubtable, then message me asking for my testimony, I assure you God can & HAS TO DO THIS to come to fullness in ALL - • John 17:21 - Jesus said: "That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us."
I seen the tunnel is speaks of, but I couldn't move when the light opened up, opening to a tunnel I saw shadows of people, silhouettes, they were moving around trying to peer into my world, three of them stepped out, looking my age, at the time 24, two males a & girl, almost white/asian mixed looking, really sweet girl, they had no wings, they looked the same as anyone else, she put her around around me talking about God is love, while that LOVE overflowed into my room engulfing us.
A doctor who uses STORIES (possible, and likely, fiction) as scientific proof?
Yes, there is such a thing as cultural conditioning. That, along with the fact that your brain goes absolute batshit when it's dying, gives the illusion of heaven or hell. Scientists were able to artificially induce these feelings, visions and experiences in test subjects. That, coupled with the fact that no one who has never heard of the Catholic vision of God has come forth with these experiences speaks volumes.
I've heard there was a video about a woman retelling of her experience after death in a car crash. She was with another woman and both died and appeared in this cave-like structure and there was a big stone face that spoke in her mind saying there is only enough energy to send one back and she wanted to be the one and it told her it would hurt coming back. This sounds NOTHING like the typical life-after-death experience. I heard that video could be on Youtube so im looking for it right now.
@xboy105 Also check out stories from Pamela Reynolds and Howard Storm. These seem legitimate, however many others do not. Also a video I just favorited about Steve Jobs last words, very interesting.
My time of death will be the happiest moment of my life. I know this because I believe in the father, the ghost and the holy spirit. Yes, I believe in Slash.
@Drast3k24 a lot of bad people even atheists have died and seen Jesus, he gave them another chance and they are preachers today telling people about hell. check youtube there are videos all over don't just assume without research and send yourself to hell
@adeby1 I met a preacher who was very fundamentalist in her beliefs, who had a NDE and she saw Jesus. He said there was no hell, no sin, no judgment, there was only love and forgiveness when you die. Like these ppl are experiencing when they die. He told her how his teachings about love had been changed and distorted so men could control others through religions. That only love prevails. She changed her beliefs from hell fire and damnation to complete love, acceptance and forgiveness.
@ladysands555 if you read the bible, i'm sure u'll come across the part that says "beware of false prophets who come in my name, the are dressed like harmless sheep, yet as vicious as wolves"
@ladysands555 No there's definitely Hell but I don't think as many souls go there as people think. Hell is only for the wicked and corrupt, people that work in Goldman Sachs.
@realoverfake To me hell is for those who would knowingly hurt others.maliciously. I'm not talking about hus wife issues etc...but the rapists, murderers, those who con....Now I believe you an be forgiven...But you have to turn away from sin and start leading a righteous life...or as close as you can come. I gave up that life of easy money...Yeah..I'm paying the price..but to tell the truth..I've never felt better inside my heart. I thank God every day for this 2nd chance
@ladysands555 I'm sorry, but there is a Hell. It says so in the bible. And many many many souls go there. If people commit a mortal sin and die without being sorry, they will go to Hell. Jesus said it himself, "Nothing unclean shall enter Heaven."
@ladysands555 So what about those people who had NDE and went to hell directly, even some twice went to hell bcoz they claimed they were bad, athiest, pagans etc.. but they were sent back & since then their lives have changed.
@ladysands555 Then this person did not see Jesus, who Himself spoke of hell hundreds of times. There is one way to heaven: faith in the shed blood of Jesus that covers all sin, and faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. So simple. So profound.
@ladysands555 For every one of the "love NDE" there are as many documented "hell NDE" and "heaven NDE". Guess we won't know til we get there. One thing for sure, we will die.
You need understand that which is possible and what is not.
Do you wonder why you see your cultural vision or personal expectations, while others see theirs? Such things can be created by, electro-stimulation of the brain, drug induced or observed as experienced by those who are locked up in institutions.
This should be evidence enough to see that in reality, the experience is an illusion or self inflicted delusion.
Thoes who experimented with LSD, reported equally REAL experience.
Kerri Packer after a NDE reported bad news there is nothing after death, he was there you were not. Seems we see only what we want to see. Hindus see vishnu, christians see God or Jesus or both. Believers in saints see saints. This says a lot about the human mind rather than any truth in the experience. In fact these have been recreated by electro stimulation of an area in the brain. Like religion its all in the mind.
When one person says something that makes them special. Then you question that persons testimony for the reason they are saying this for attention. I say a ghost, an alien, a bigfoot, etc. But when thousands testify and still are testifing, then that becomes a question of thought. For us that believe we have an answer, but when I hear a atheist testify to this story line. Then that is something. For someone that totally disbelieves now believes??? You decied.
It is a well known ledgend with wittnssess and proofs, yet the chap and kindom never exsisted. It is a great example of how one persons delusion can spread and give the illusion of common experiences.
@VideoAudioDisco09 Yep, is that what on satan's helper does now, Calls it delusion. Then let me be delusioned. People that write such books do it for the money So, Prestor has no other reason to write such a book. He just wants to help you out. What if his is WRONG? I've seen the smartest professors, wolrd scholars, top scientist be absolutly WRONG. 40 years ago,.They predicted another ice age was coming. Now global warming. Man's knowledge is worthless. Gods knowledge is eternal
Ha ha ha, just shows you people live in a self induced fantacy and don't check anything.
Prestor John is a christian myth he wrote no book, he did not exsist.
Even so eye wittnesses popped up and the ledgend grew.
"Prester John was reportedly a descendant of one of the Three Magi, presiding over a realm full of riches and strange creatures, 1165 copies of what was certainly a forged Letter of Prester John started spreading throughout Europe. It demonstrates myth creation,
I do not believe her. God would never tell us to go back and "try harder." Jesus did the work for us...He paid for our sin by dying for us. We do not need to "try harder." We need to believe in what He has done for us. That is all.
He was another failed messiah. Who paid for nothing. In fact his whole life was on the scrounge, didn't have a job, sponged of gullible fools. Not to be to harsh he was not the only one many messiahs were out and about, particularly at that period of time. All failed all gone, all over. In fact they all got the bbot for some centuries after the jewish uprising, hardley the return of gods kindom for the chosen.
@VideoAudioDisco09 Ok, well at least I can respect you as a Zeitgeist for admitting Jesus was a person "He was another failed messiah ... didn't have a job, sponged of gullible fools.". When I get really annoyed is when Zeitgeists like Acharya S try to rewrite history to fit their cause.
I don't know that Jesus exsisted outside of the story, like James Bond or Superman.
However I can say what the story says. Sometimes this is very different from what some think it says or what they want it to say. Also a rewrite of history to fit their cause is a very good description of theologys development of the bible, it has been uncovered again and again where editing has been inserted, deleted or deliberatly mistranslated to fit what was require, totally dishonest.
@VideoAudioDisco09 Well,I do know he at least existed as a person. The journals from the Synods of Antioch are enough proof for me (Its the literal equivalent to congressional records today if discussing George Washington). In addition despite nonsense non historians like Acharya S have put out, their are 40 early christian writings from the first century AD. The real argument is that their is no record of the historical Jesus claiming to be the Mesiah. It is all someone else making that claim.
You can not prove he exsisted thats why there is controvercy and debate.
Comparison to congressional records is rediculous and not worth a rebuff.
Less than a hundred bishops were present, all from the Orient over 300 post Jesus.
Thats all you need?
READ the histories from proper sources that describe these councils, it was debate, argument and voting that created Jesus, ratifacations etc: This supports in essence the creation of the character used by the Theology.
@VideoAudioDisco09 The Synods of Antioch was not a singular event. I would suggest you do some research. Their is controversy and debate by unknowledgeable people and teenagers on the internet, not among actual reputable historians. No reputable historian has ever argued against the existence of a fringe cult leader(later referring to themselves as Christians) named Jesus.
Admittedley the current state of play has onlya few scholars have questioned the existence of Jesus as an actual historical figure, but they do dismiss the supernatural claims associated with him, as they can't can be established using documentary and other evidence. But there are many scholars that question the figure exsisted. Many more say he exsisted but was just a minor player upon which the myth and ledgend was constructed. I point out evidence is scant why?
@lion575 I'm stunned you do not research what you claim as evidence.
There were in the earliest days thoes that argued for Jesus being just a man, they lost that fight but as they were there and some of the earliest of the religion, I suspect they knew something.
Things like Hypostatic union was decreed, namely that Jesus is both fully divine and fully human. Fully Male fully Woman, What Crap. They had to argue over all the detail you now take for granted. Look up the many schisms and why.
"After having exhausted the literature and the testimony bearing on the point, we have not found a single distinct trace of any of those Gospels during the first century and a half after the death of Christ." How can Gospels which were not written until a hundred and fifty years after Christ is supposed to have died, and which do not rest on any trustworthy testimony, have the slightest value as evidence that he really lived?"
@VideoAudioDisco09 Their are close to 40 early Christian writings all dated to the 1st century (15 or so of them prior to 70 AD, and many of those reference other writings that have never been found). Granted it is not a complete book (but its also a little more than scraps), but the rolands papyrus are portions of the gospel of Matthew and is dated at 120 AD. However it is a copy found in Syria (in other words after well circulated).
it is not a complete book BINGO, yet even between these scraps and later writting scholars have identified changes and differences as the theology developed.
@VideoAudioDisco09 The debate among historians is weather the gospel of Matthew in its current form was written prior to 70 AD or not. Christians obviously say yes because of Jesus's prophecy about Jeruselum being destroyed, however most historians think that the Gospel of Matthew in its current form was written just after 70 AD, and some what inspired by those events.
History must be founded on genuine documents or on living proof. Were a man of to-day to attempt to write the life of a supposed character of a hundred and fifty years ago, without any historical documents upon which to base his narrative, his work would not be a history, it would be a romance. Not a single statement in it could be relied upon.
Christ is supposed to have been a Jew, and his disciples are said to have been Jewish fishermen (likley all were illiterate). His language, and the language of his followers must, therefore, have been Aramaic -- the popular language of Palestine in that age. But the Gospels are written in Greek -- every one of them.
The oldest Gospels that we have are supposed to be copies of copies of copies that were made from 2nd century gospel Gospels. You realyy need faith, there is no evidence.
@VideoAudioDisco09 "his disciples are said to have been Jewish fishermen (likley all were illiterate)" Matthew was a Tax collector and known to be literate, John was a theologian and written about extensively in Josephus's (the major jewish historian at the time) Antiquity of the Jews (historical writing aimed at Roman audience), The favorite conspiracy among historians is that Luke actually was the historian Josephus, and Mark was known to write on Peter's behalf.
Josephus's (the major jewish historian at the time) and what did he write about Jesus. The large groups folloing him around. The miricles, The earthquake, the zombies running around, the day going dark. Nothing at all, Come on get real.
@VideoAudioDisco09 Actually Josephus did write about Jesus, but historians believe Eustathius (an early church father) altered it during the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD in order to have Arius (another early church father) deemed a heretic. Earlier references are made to it in other writings, and claim Jesus only to be a teacher and healer. Regarding miracles etc .... I've never argued anything specific happened, just that Jesus (the person) did exist.
@VideoAudioDisco09 The oldest copies of full gospels we currently have are from the 3rd century AD. When do you think the earliest copy of any of Socrates writings are dated to? Guess what, their is not a single writing in existence that was written by socrates. In fact the only proof of socrates are writings by Plato. The oldest copy of any of Plato's writings in existence is from 1100 AD. Most proof of plato is via Christian writings. Yet myself and most historians believe he existed.
Whatever information we derive about Socrates is from the works of 4 scholars namely - Xenophon, Plato, Aristotle, and Aristophanes. They exsisted and were eye wittnesses and yet we have no real proof he did exsist and was not a creation of thiers. Similar to the creation of Jesus only with more plausability.
@VideoAudioDisco09 My point was the earliest copy of any of their works is dated at 1100 AD, 1500 years after Socrates lived. No claim exists that Xenophon even knew Socrates. If I wanted to twist what we know of history, I could make the argument that none of those people ever even existed (i.e. no definative proof that they did). Jesus as referenced in thousands of works over the course of the past couple thousand years, as is socrates. Arguing either one of them didn't exist is just dumb.
@VideoAudioDisco09 On the other hand stating that all historical accounts we have are probably not accurate would be a logical conclusion given its been 2 thousand years (and given people have been debating for those 2 thousand years). However arguing over historical accounts regarding JFK results in the same logical conclusion - not everything historians say is accurate.
Just wondering do you acctually know what Messiah means.
40 early christian writings from the first century CE? The earliest scraps of writtings do not contain the miricles and nativity ect, indicationg they were added later.
They were written thirty-five to sixty-five years after Jesus’ death by people who did not know him, did not see anything he did or hear anything that he taught, people who spoke a different language from his and lived in a different country from him.
@VideoAudioDisco09 If you knew anything about history, you'd realize proof is not as linear as you'd like it to be. Additionally the source of the source matters greatly. I live in Philippines, until recently I lived in Japan. The history of WW2 for both countries is very different from whats taught in the US. The journals from the Synods of Antioch reference various Gospels. Other works in the 1st and 2nd century refernce the gospels. proof of any ancient document is not a linear process.
Exactly so. Most of the religious proofs and doctrines were written and traslated by believers using (even some admitting openly) their theology as a guide. That’s why so much fraud, deliberate mistranslation and historical invention have been uncovered. Know activities of destroying evidence to the contrary of the doctrines. What’s left mostly written by the winners not the truth but their preferred truth.
@VideoAudioDisco09 "What’s left mostly written by the winners not the truth but their preferred truth." The same could be said about any part of history. To quote the movie Braveheart "history is written by those who have hanged heroes.". But inaccuracies in history certainly does not mean historical figures flat out did not exist.Acharya S, writer of the Christ Conspiracy that claims Jesus did not exist also claims the Holocaust never happened. Maybe 1000 years from now someone will quote her.
life after death is true i had a death experience and nobodoy no stephen hawking or anyone else can tell me otherwise also god is true he is everything believe in him
how come every one that believes this bollocks are able to recipt scriptures from the bible with amazing accuracy at a moments notice????? because the only people that believe it are happy clapping nut jobs. jesus christ get real. where was god when my dad died and suffered. he was the most gentle human being that anyone could meet. where was god then!!!!!!
@ludlowish I do not know why we suffer. But I know for certain that there is a God and that He is good. I'm so sorry that your father suffered and I'm sure that it was painful for you to watch that. I'm a nurse and have seen so many people suffer and most of us will as part of the dying process. I wish this were not true but that is often times what happens to our bodies when they fail. I also know that there is a better place waiting for us. I encourage you to reach out to God. Do not turn away
@LMitch777able thank you so much for your kind words, and i try not to look away i really do. i just get kicked so often and although i havent been perfect in my life im not an evil man and id never do anything to hurt someone on purpose. i would love to believe there is a god and he loves us and takes care of us but where is he when we need him? again, thank you so much for taking the time to send those very kind words and caring advice. people like you are rare and precious.
@ludlowish You are also precious. Man can be very cruel and can cause so much pain and I'm so sorry that you have suffered because of man. This all is a result of man's fall. God never intended man to become like this and He is not the source of the pain. Man is.Reach out to Him. Do not allow the pain in your life to close your eyes to Him.
I talked to GOD last night, I was walking down the street corner to ask a local prostitute to suck on my donkey monkey. When all of a sudden a small dog started talking to me, he said hey where you going. Shit exploded from my underpants in shock! I said WTF u little mofo u scared the crap out of me. I said who are you? The dog said I'M GOD! So I said well what you want? He said I want you to let me borrow five bucks! So I gave him a 10
BELIEF IN GOD MAKES AS MUCH SENSE AS MY STORY! mierda!
@Cristoviolanalgonas1 Well, just because you don't believe it, doesn't mean someone else can't believe it. If you want peeps to have tolerance of your non-beliefs, you might want to start being tolerant of someone else's beliefs. Just sayin'
@Cristoviolanalgonas1 God loves you. He really does. You have been hurt, really hurt but do not reject the one who loves you. He did not hurt you like your father did.
So you claim this infinitely smart and infinitely powerful being, loves me?
If your friend exist since he's all powerful, it would cost him nothing to eliminate bad garbage from happening to people. Why did that savage animal called George Washington had more than 300 people as salves. He and his other savage animal friends like Alexander Hamilton, Andrew Jackson & others murder millions of Natives Americans.
Ummm... researchers should test two or several other dying patients in the same room and see if they our able to see each other during the spirit form.
Asserting the Christian religion again. That person she was a Spirit guide not Yahweh Jehovah. That place is the place of unconditional love. Christianity is conditional love.
@halolIlmao0 Conditional love is offered by all men, including Christians. The only unconditional love that you will ever experience is from God. He really loves you, bro. That is why Jesus came.
@halolIlmao0 Without Jesus we only had one choice...to burn. It was out of His love for us that there is another choice...to live. And to have us live, He did everything for us. You cannot love more than this. WE are the reason that we damned because we are not perfect...we have sinned and come short. God reached down to us by way of His Son and rescued us. I disagree, my friend. He is intensely in love with us, with me, with you.
@Ezra1Jesus1Disciple Circular reasoning and appealing to fear. The bible has rape, slavery, genocide and Yahweh sends lying spirits and strong delusions. If your god is true why is he sending lying spirits and strong delusions? How can you trust someone who deceives people?
@halolIlmao0 Good question. I have many answers but the most compelling is Jesus. He fulfilled over 350 prophesies. Can you think of any other book that has the same record? In fact, it has been so accurate that many thought that it was written after the fact. But the Dead Sea Scrolls proved that the prophesies were told long before Jesus was born.Then what is NOT in the Bible is just as important as what IS in the Bible. Wish I had more characters to type. I encourage you to dig for the truth.
@LMitch777able All you are saying is follow my religion or die. You are no different from Islam.Dead Sea Scrolls are young compared to other older texts like the Egyptian book of the dead. Your lake of fire came from Egyptian.
@LMitch777able That is not love. So why should anyone repent to Yahweh and Yahweh can't even keep his own commandments? How do you determent that Yahweh is good?
@halolIlmao0 Yahweh sent His Son to die for us. He did not have to. He did it because He loves us. Where have you read that God sent lying spirits or strong delusions? I don't ever remember reading this.
@LMitch777able 2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. Ezekiel 14:9
And if a prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet. Now I have debated tons of Christians and they like to scream out of context. In what context is sending lying spirits and delusions are okay?
@LMitch777able Yahweh does not love anyone but himself. He does anything even breaking his own rules for his own glory. Now why should I repent to a being that fails to follow his own rules?
I always love when people attack science and scientists by commenting on a COMPUTER connected to the INTERNET, which of course, didn't require science at all...
Has any one noticed She never asked if anyone of 1300 or so people who have had a NED,went too hell? HMMM I wonder why she never ask that question,maybe she don't want to believe there is a hell,Or maybe she doesn't want too know of the existence of Hell, in any event I think she should of explored that possibility,I personally believe there is a Hell and hell is a very real place.Where people go if they haven't ask Christ too forgive them of there sin.
@thundermaster41 ::: There is a lesson in every experience. Not every NDE is a 'pure' experience, fears and expectations do play a minor part. Those who experience a hellish condition have a lesson to learn, or a fear to overcome
Oh yes Im sure thats exactly what is wrong with him. Yes years and years of grad work into theritical physics because "hes angry with god" Yes thats EXACTLY it. Shut up.
@Kindred1a1 Stephen Hawking is an idiot. Years of studying theory on dark matter and he cant view the Universe as an Isolated physical system like every other physicist on the planet. I'm not a Christian, but to quote Robert Griffiths (Physicist at Carnegie Mellon), "If I'm looking for an Atheist to debate I go to the philosophy department, the physics department isn't much use".
lol k I would assume you consider yourself a scientifically literate person by how you just insult hawking & since debating would not yield any results, Ill say this: Consider how uselessly small we are in the scope of the universe. Consider the psychological implication in the realization of the ephemerality of ourselves. Consider the history of beliefs (religious or not). With all this mind, if you are still a theist (which Im sure you will be), I fully understand why.
@LMitch777able I am searching, I'm sure their is a god ..... I've seen proof enough. However, Knowing their is a God is one thing (People have known this throughout all of civilization - its actually funny when you hear people say the default state is Atheism - no one naturally assumes no God until they are older). The difficulty for me is the Christian Faith. I know Jesus existed (have researched extensively), I know the teachings in the bible are amazing, but beyond that .... .
@lion575 And that is exactly what God wants, lion575, for you to really know Him, have a relationship with Him. So here is my question for you....who is Jesus?
Athesimis the default state, pre religion and super natural spirits waht do you think there was. It developed begining with local spirits etc, then came many many Gods.
Religion evolved to set doctrine and dogma as the elite realised it was a method of control, wealth and power. Even the bible has echos of many gods.
@VideoAudioDisco09 Most psychologists would say The default state for religion would be Deism (throughout human history civilizations always assume intelligent design but claim to have never spoken to a deity directly). Most Skeptics would say the default stage is Agnosticism. Have never seen anyone in academia claim the default human stage to be Atheism.
@VideoAudioDisco09 I still disagree Atheism could be considered a default state. If we took a group of 2 year olds and stuck them on a deserted Island with food, water, etc .... as some messed up social experiment, and came back 20 years later, They would not be Atheists. I think they would wonder how they got there, what created the stars, the skies, etc ... . Science gives the big bang theory .... which gives us about as much knowledge of the world as Genesis does - maybe less.
@VideoAudioDisco09 Now, once someone has been educated and has a vast knowledge of Math and Physics .... It should be obvious that the universe, which is a physical system (like any physical system in engineering), with 4 fundamental interactions/forces (electromagnetic fields, weak interaction, strong interaction, and gravitation), all with fixed constants we have solved for, did not spontaneously create itself. The idea is completely illogical and mathematically impossible.
Unfortunately it is becoming mathematically possible as we learn more.
If you have a better hypothesis Publish it for scrutiny. Maybe you will get a Nobel Prize.
What is completely illogical impossible is any of the many manmade myths.
However they have been long left behind debunked or exposed a creative writing and is not part of the possibilities to be considered. Anymore than we cold exsists as an Alien experiment in a test tube.
At this point in time, with our knowledge and understanding, at least in 1st world countries. I think the default is atheism, why do you think religions are so keen to indoctrinate children (and other things they do to them). Religions grew from fear of the unkonown, darkness at night and the big questions. We now have light and as humans fear little. The questions, indoctrination, bullying and weak minds keep religion dragging on. But I think there is hope it will end.
Man invented Gods, created religion. Prior to that there logically must have been no belief in Gods. Not that fear and questions would not have arise, just that no one had started to invent excuses and indulge in superstition. So I don't thingh it is unfair to say that Atheism is the default. We no longer fear thunder and lightning, well sometimes when its real close..:) But we know what it is and its not a God.
@VideoAudioDisco09 The Bible has echoes of the Jewish God obviously, but if your reffering to Horus, Mithra, all that stuff from the zeitgeist movement that zeitgeists are actually trying to distance themselves from, their was no factual basis for any of that. I'm not claiming to be a Christian, but that doesn't mean I support fake propaganda either.
Sorry I did not answer the main point. First Zeitgeist simply means "the spirit of the times" or "the spirit of the age." so it is never a specific movement as such.
No the echos of multipule Gods are in the bible. It was the first religion to move from polytheistic to monothestic, the transition would not have been immediate.
People don't just give up a lifetime belief, (especially when they know it is true and have proof). Appologists are aware and excuses abound.
@Kindred1a1 Never know. I had a friend who spent over 15 years of his life studying just so that he could have more clever ways to put down Christians to walk and force them not to believe in God anymore. He did it cause he was pissed at God and pissed at others for believing in him. People can get motivated by anything (including anger) to accomplish things. I don't know though, about Stephen Hawking cause I've never asked him. Have you?
.....If Stephen Hawking really had a fervent desire to put down religions he would have done so with as much gusto as Dawkins, Hitchens or Harris. How often was religion a central premise in his interviews? I dont remember any. Point is, if he wanted to truly put religion down, he wouldve used his power on the media like the 3 others to do so. He didnt. Therefore, your assumption holds very little credence given this man's history
@LMitch777able I dont assume I know what god would/wouldnt do simply because I dont think there is a god to begin with. How I derive any kind of data is through psychology, biology, history and neurobiology.
@Kindred1a1 I also studied biology, neurobiology being an ICU nurse and I am always amazed at God's creation including man. How can anyone look at the intricacies of man's body and not believe in a God? It is utterly impossible for this amazing body to happen from chaos.
"How can anyone look at the intricacies of man's body and not believe in a God"
How about,
knowledge and understanding, education, use of reason and logic, open mind, reality, history, deprogramming from indoctrination, understanding human mental weakness, the power of mental enslavement.
To name a few.
If you were a Nurse in ICU I thought you would know better, by experience.
@VideoAudioDisco09 I have used my knowledge, my understanding, my education and reason and mind to acknowledge how amazing we and the rest of creation is. I'm willing to listen to an opposite view. Where is the proof that evolution is true? Fact is this...there is no proof of evolution. To believe that evolution is true takes more faith than what I possess. You have to BELIEVE that evolution is true because there is no proof.
fuck me youre a nurse...that's scary. Did you sleep during your science courses or you are so blinded by your religion that everything you are presented to you ignore...

Remember, Satan can pretend to be someone holy & maybe he pretend that there's no hell. A real holy ghost would never pretend but can only encourage you to be a better person. Satan would lie that there's no hell in order for you to do bad things & he will reap souls thereafter.

You decied.

Jesus was executed for sedition by the Romans.

When I get really annoyed is when Zeitgeists like Acharya S try to rewrite history to fit their cause.
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 Well,I do know he at least existed as a person. The journals from the Synods of Antioch are enough proof for me (Its the literal equivalent to congressional records today if discussing George Washington). In addition despite nonsense non historians like Acharya S have put out, their are 40 early christian writings from the first century AD. The real argument is that their is no record of the historical Jesus claiming to be the Mesiah. It is all someone else making that claim.
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 The Synods of Antioch was not a singular event. I would suggest you do some research. Their is controversy and debate by unknowledgeable people and teenagers on the internet, not among actual reputable historians. No reputable historian has ever argued against the existence of a fringe cult leader(later referring to themselves as Christians) named Jesus.
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575

Walter R. Cassels
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 Their are close to 40 early Christian writings all dated to the 1st century (15 or so of them prior to 70 AD, and many of those reference other writings that have never been found). Granted it is not a complete book (but its also a little more than scraps), but the rolands papyrus are portions of the gospel of Matthew and is dated at 120 AD. However it is a copy found in Syria (in other words after well circulated).
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575
it is not a complete book BINGO, yet even between these scraps and later writting scholars have identified changes and differences as the theology developed.
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 The debate among historians is weather the gospel of Matthew in its current form was written prior to 70 AD or not. Christians obviously say yes because of Jesus's prophecy about Jeruselum being destroyed, however most historians think that the Gospel of Matthew in its current form was written just after 70 AD, and some what inspired by those events.
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575
History must be founded on genuine documents or on living proof. Were a man of to-day to attempt to write the life of a supposed character of a hundred and fifty years ago, without any historical documents upon which to base his narrative, his work would not be a history, it would be a romance. Not a single statement in it could be relied upon.
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@lion575
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 "his disciples are said to have been Jewish fishermen (likley all were illiterate)" Matthew was a Tax collector and known to be literate, John was a theologian and written about extensively in Josephus's (the major jewish historian at the time) Antiquity of the Jews (historical writing aimed at Roman audience), The favorite conspiracy among historians is that Luke actually was the historian Josephus, and Mark was known to write on Peter's behalf.
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575
Josephus's (the major jewish historian at the time) and what did he write about Jesus. The large groups folloing him around. The miricles, The earthquake, the zombies running around, the day going dark. Nothing at all, Come on get real.
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 Actually Josephus did write about Jesus, but historians believe Eustathius (an early church father) altered it during the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD in order to have Arius (another early church father) deemed a heretic. Earlier references are made to it in other writings, and claim Jesus only to be a teacher and healer. Regarding miracles etc .... I've never argued anything specific happened, just that Jesus (the person) did exist.
lion575 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 The oldest copies of full gospels we currently have are from the 3rd century AD. When do you think the earliest copy of any of Socrates writings are dated to? Guess what, their is not a single writing in existence that was written by socrates. In fact the only proof of socrates are writings by Plato. The oldest copy of any of Plato's writings in existence is from 1100 AD. Most proof of plato is via Christian writings. Yet myself and most historians believe he existed.
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 My point was the earliest copy of any of their works is dated at 1100 AD, 1500 years after Socrates lived. No claim exists that Xenophon even knew Socrates. If I wanted to twist what we know of history, I could make the argument that none of those people ever even existed (i.e. no definative proof that they did). Jesus as referenced in thousands of works over the course of the past couple thousand years, as is socrates. Arguing either one of them didn't exist is just dumb.
lion575 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 On the other hand stating that all historical accounts we have are probably not accurate would be a logical conclusion given its been 2 thousand years (and given people have been debating for those 2 thousand years). However arguing over historical accounts regarding JFK results in the same logical conclusion - not everything historians say is accurate.
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 If you knew anything about history, you'd realize proof is not as linear as you'd like it to be. Additionally the source of the source matters greatly. I live in Philippines, until recently I lived in Japan. The history of WW2 for both countries is very different from whats taught in the US. The journals from the Synods of Antioch reference various Gospels. Other works in the 1st and 2nd century refernce the gospels. proof of any ancient document is not a linear process.
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575

How can you trust someone who deceives people?
halolIlmao0 1 month ago
@halolIlmao0 Good question. I have many answers but the most compelling is Jesus. He fulfilled over 350 prophesies. Can you think of any other book that has the same record? In fact, it has been so accurate that many thought that it was written after the fact. But the Dead Sea Scrolls proved that the prophesies were told long before Jesus was born.Then what is NOT in the Bible is just as important as what IS in the Bible. Wish I had more characters to type. I encourage you to dig for the truth.
LMitch777able 1 month ago
@LMitch777able All you are saying is follow my religion or die. You are no different from Islam.Dead Sea Scrolls are young compared to other older texts like the Egyptian book of the dead. Your lake of fire came from Egyptian.
halolIlmao0 1 month ago
@LMitch777able That is not love. So why should anyone repent to Yahweh and Yahweh can't even keep his own commandments? How do you determent that Yahweh is good?
halolIlmao0 1 month ago
@halolIlmao0 Yahweh sent His Son to die for us. He did not have to. He did it because He loves us. Where have you read that God sent lying spirits or strong delusions? I don't ever remember reading this.
LMitch777able 1 month ago
@LMitch777able 2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. Ezekiel 14:9
And if a prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet. Now I have debated tons of Christians and they like to scream out of context. In what context is sending lying spirits and delusions are okay?
halolIlmao0 1 month ago
@LMitch777able Yahweh does not love anyone but himself. He does anything even breaking his own rules for his own glory. Now why should I repent to a being that fails to follow his own rules?

Not culturally determined? What about the language spoken by god to the near death experiencer?

Has any one noticed She never asked if anyone of 1300 or so people who have had a NED,went too hell? HMMM I wonder why she never ask that question,maybe she don't want to believe there is a hell,Or maybe she doesn't want too know of the existence of Hell, in any event I think she should of explored that possibility,I personally believe there is a Hell and hell is a very real place.Where people go if they haven't ask Christ too forgive them of there sin.
thundermaster41 3 months ago
@thundermaster41 ::: There is a lesson in every experience. Not every NDE is a 'pure' experience, fears and expectations do play a minor part. Those who experience a hellish condition have a lesson to learn, or a fear to overcome

@thundermaster41 Sometimes satan comes as an angel of light and I think that is who she saw. God would never say to go back to earth and try harder.

@lyricalway
Oh yes Im sure thats exactly what is wrong with him. Yes years and years of grad work into theritical physics because "hes angry with god" Yes thats EXACTLY it. Shut up.
Kindred1a1 2 months ago
@Kindred1a1 Stephen Hawking is an idiot. Years of studying theory on dark matter and he cant view the Universe as an Isolated physical system like every other physicist on the planet. I'm not a Christian, but to quote Robert Griffiths (Physicist at Carnegie Mellon), "If I'm looking for an Atheist to debate I go to the philosophy department, the physics department isn't much use".
lion575 2 months ago
@lion575
lol k I would assume you consider yourself a scientifically literate person by how you just insult hawking & since debating would not yield any results, Ill say this: Consider how uselessly small we are in the scope of the universe. Consider the psychological implication in the realization of the ephemerality of ourselves. Consider the history of beliefs (religious or not). With all this mind, if you are still a theist (which Im sure you will be), I fully understand why.
Kindred1a1 2 months ago
@lion575 If you search for God, He promises that you will find Him. Search for Him. Ask Him if He is real, if He has a plan for you, if He loves you.
LMitch777able 1 month ago
@LMitch777able I am searching, I'm sure their is a god ..... I've seen proof enough. However, Knowing their is a God is one thing (People have known this throughout all of civilization - its actually funny when you hear people say the default state is Atheism - no one naturally assumes no God until they are older). The difficulty for me is the Christian Faith. I know Jesus existed (have researched extensively), I know the teachings in the bible are amazing, but beyond that .... .
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575 And that is exactly what God wants, lion575, for you to really know Him, have a relationship with Him. So here is my question for you....who is Jesus?
LMitch777able 1 month ago
@lion575
Athesimis the default state, pre religion and super natural spirits waht do you think there was. It developed begining with local spirits etc, then came many many Gods.
Religion evolved to set doctrine and dogma as the elite realised it was a method of control, wealth and power. Even the bible has echos of many gods.
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 Most psychologists would say The default state for religion would be Deism (throughout human history civilizations always assume intelligent design but claim to have never spoken to a deity directly). Most Skeptics would say the default stage is Agnosticism. Have never seen anyone in academia claim the default human stage to be Atheism.
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575
You make a good point.
Interestingly psychology has the highest percent of Atheists for a profession.
I guess the insite and neurological research dispels the myths.
I suppose self awareness brought spiritulism,
Gods being created when languge was advanced from its beginning, then we had the ability to lie and play on what is superstition in our nature.
Religion I took a bit longer to fester into a full on cancer with priests, icons, places and growing the myths.

@VideoAudioDisco09 I still disagree Atheism could be considered a default state. If we took a group of 2 year olds and stuck them on a deserted Island with food, water, etc .... as some messed up social experiment, and came back 20 years later, They would not be Atheists. I think they would wonder how they got there, what created the stars, the skies, etc ... . Science gives the big bang theory .... which gives us about as much knowledge of the world as Genesis does - maybe less.
lion575 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 Now, once someone has been educated and has a vast knowledge of Math and Physics .... It should be obvious that the universe, which is a physical system (like any physical system in engineering), with 4 fundamental interactions/forces (electromagnetic fields, weak interaction, strong interaction, and gravitation), all with fixed constants we have solved for, did not spontaneously create itself. The idea is completely illogical and mathematically impossible.
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@lion575
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@lion575
I guess to put it in the simplest terms.
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 The Bible has echoes of the Jewish God obviously, but if your reffering to Horus, Mithra, all that stuff from the zeitgeist movement that zeitgeists are actually trying to distance themselves from, their was no factual basis for any of that. I'm not claiming to be a Christian, but that doesn't mean I support fake propaganda either.
lion575 1 month ago
@lion575
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@LMitch777able
The bible also says if you have a grain of faith, you can move a mountain and take poison.
Good luck with that.
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@Kindred1a1 Never know. I had a friend who spent over 15 years of his life studying just so that he could have more clever ways to put down Christians to walk and force them not to believe in God anymore. He did it cause he was pissed at God and pissed at others for believing in him. People can get motivated by anything (including anger) to accomplish things. I don't know though, about Stephen Hawking cause I've never asked him. Have you?
T4Tyson 2 months ago
@T4Tyson
.....If Stephen Hawking really had a fervent desire to put down religions he would have done so with as much gusto as Dawkins, Hitchens or Harris. How often was religion a central premise in his interviews? I dont remember any. Point is, if he wanted to truly put religion down, he wouldve used his power on the media like the 3 others to do so. He didnt. Therefore, your assumption holds very little credence given this man's history
Kindred1a1 2 months ago
@Kindred1a1 You assume that you know what God would and would not do. From what source do you derive your data and predicted responses?
LMitch777able 1 month ago
@LMitch777able I dont assume I know what god would/wouldnt do simply because I dont think there is a god to begin with. How I derive any kind of data is through psychology, biology, history and neurobiology.
Kindred1a1 1 month ago
@Kindred1a1 I also studied biology, neurobiology being an ICU nurse and I am always amazed at God's creation including man. How can anyone look at the intricacies of man's body and not believe in a God? It is utterly impossible for this amazing body to happen from chaos.
LMitch777able 1 month ago
@LMitch777able
VideoAudioDisco09 1 month ago
@VideoAudioDisco09 I have used my knowledge, my understanding, my education and reason and mind to acknowledge how amazing we and the rest of creation is. I'm willing to listen to an opposite view. Where is the proof that evolution is true? Fact is this...there is no proof of evolution. To believe that evolution is true takes more faith than what I possess. You have to BELIEVE that evolution is true because there is no proof.
