Well look 1.2L 3cyl 60hp. There are 3cyl on snowmobiles and they are 600cc, 700cc, 800cc at 150hp Carburated! Half the cubic volume and double the HP.
No the internals like balance shaft and the chain guide and sprockets would usually give out and have complete engine failure and either will need to rebuild or change the engine completely if it didnt destroy everything. Google how the engines are made. The WP, Oil pump and chain guide are all in this once cast aluminum piece. It brake with revs
Actually a friend of mine did a few small drifts in the snow using a full size 4WD Chevy truck that had dualies on it. If he can drift that I think someone could drift a 4WD Justy in the snow, on asphalt its a different story.
Yeah but dont forget that chevy has a v8 and some power. So what if its 6000lbs.... With 300+hp 300+trq anything can drift..... A 1.2L 3cyl 60hp justy has a hard time drifting in snow... For the winter that I had my justy I've only drifted ONCE controled leaving a McDonalds parking lot. Everyother time I tried drifting was an absolute understeer fail. They are a fun car but not a good car.... I'd take a Legacy wagon over that justy anyday. But i'll stick with my RWD corolla.
@EvanAxer True, drifting is largely dependant on weight distribution and tires along with power. How come you don't think Justys are that good? Unreliable or just slow?
@Ryoku75 Well the motors only last about 80,000km to 100,000km before you need to replace the Water Pump, Oil Pump, Balance Shaft. The engines are very finicky and can not be revved. Weight distribution is only for racing or drifting seriously. You can take a select few cars and drift them stock with no mods (Better if they have a LSD). The engine is wayy to underpowered and the suspension is really shit and too soft to do anything with beside driving forward. I owned a Justy and was a scary car
@EvanAxer Heh, and I hear a bunch of stuff about older Japanese cars being so good. 4 Cylinders are really the smallest engine I could suggest for economy as most smaller engines are better off on bikes.
I have that older model, ´88 Justy and AWD ofcourse.Totally fun for winter. And in Finland we use to have some snow too.. I´m wondering why my wife doesn´t agree with that fun-factory :)

are you that naive...
Go watch the "Subaru Monster" Videos

technically you can because you're initiating the drift then powersliding out of it

I take it revving one of these would overheat it?

I have a 92 Justy, wish it was AWD, but its still a blast in snow, even lowered with 13" rims.
