well, because it was venting every hour or so, there´s a serious amount of ash that constantly falls on the whole surrounding area up to at least 1k away or more depending on the wind. as for sulfur, we didn't smell much sulfuric gases there - unlike some of the volcanoes in Nicaragua!!

There are quite a few santiaguito vids on youtube, but they tend to be quick "burps"......She's REALLY venting here.....WELL DONE!!!

I didn't like the fact that the footage started off sideways otherwise this is a very impressive video! I should go climb Santiaguito in the future myself.
