Love this game because it's not AD&D! Great graphics, and great quests! It's hard though for anything other than a warrior at the beginning!

I liked the game. It is not the best PCRPG in any way, but it is a good game, if you manage to get past the terribly boring first area.

I prefer the game over games like Oblivion or Gothic any day. I never really liked RPGs without a party.

Also I am slightly biased, since I play the Pen and Paper game on which Drakensang is based.

I like The Elder Scrolls the best, but this is good too. I like Daggerfall the best for the RPG ellements, but Oblivion for the fighting part.

I just finished the demo, and I'm looking forward to buying the game. The NPC's are interesting, the setting is beautiful, the quests were good (for a demo). People complain about the combat system, but I enjoyed it.

downloaded the demo and it seems like a really cool game, plays similar to Baldurs gate, has a good graphics engine and a true Proven game mechanics for the last 20 years, taking the best things from current RPG's and putting them all into 1 game, its like heaven..

As far as I know it will be translated into English and French, but there already were efforts from fans to make an own English version using a database tool. All the text files are stored in database files, so you could easily translate them if you can find enough Spanish speakers to help you.

This game isn't a "real" rpg either. Wizardry or Ultima on the other hand, are. Im an old school RPGer but let me say one thing: Morrowind is more of an RPG than Drakensang is. Now I don't know if you've played em both, but there is hardly any depth to Drakensang (rule system excluded).

RP simply means that you re playing the role of another person..

you could actually call half life a RPG.. but RPG re considered games where you can develope a character,give out skill points gain experience set attritbute points and what not..

RPG = you play the role of another person.

Computer RPG, Pen & Paper and even in Real Live (LARP, Drug Prevention Role Play, ...)

Your HL Example = you Play as the other Person.

Every other Game.

Because of that even a Hack & Slay ARPG like DIabolo is more RPG than Oblivion, Fallout 3 (only 3) or even Mass Effect..

In most games your skill counts. In an RPG only the charakter skill counts.

Well, what I was trying to say was any RPG from a non-known developer is going to be called a rip-off of something. If it looks 1% like Oblivion, it's an Oblivion rip-off and if it looks 1% like NWN it will be called a NWN rip-off. Especially if it gets scores below 90%. Two Worlds is a perfect example of this.

The video only shows the area around the city of Ferdok. There are still other interesting places. The grapic style is similiar to old mediveal paintings and fit perfectly into the Dark eye universum, i think.

Essentially EVERY video of 3+ minutes length is an entire spoiler if you define it that way. I define spoiler only as "plot revealing" or "boss mob revealing". Any video preview shows just as much, but no story-bosses or other story relevant things are shown.

thats true, but the title implies theres tons of other locations and graphical environment, but thats hardly true. this video shows most of them, so "mild spoiler", while not revealing the bosses or large parts of the plot, is misleading here. this vid is showing the game from its very best side.

no, its far from being one of the best games. im from germany and completed it last week. 7/10 points for it. graphics are crap when seen on full screen, its only the bloom effect that catches the eye.
