yes, Imhotep/kojcza shows it best, but the two wire on the inside wrap together to make 2 bigger ones, then to the 2 wires on the bottom, confusing to read i know
Yep, well it may work with the grnd from a 3 prong plug-in, but im using a copper pipe in the grnd with a 4mm stranded solid copper wire thru the window, keep in mind that my battery wasnt totally dead, im still doing testing with this and other arrangements as we speak
@kdkinen Cool. I picked up an auto coil today. I have no idea if it has an internal resistor or not, though. I'll try to get it running, just going over the circuit again, right now, once again. It almost seem too simple.
OMFG - that is outrageous! I am building the circuit known as the French Inverter (flip flop type with FETs). Fascinating videos from various people so far, but your circuit is just so simple. I'm having great fun with this kind of thing as I want to charge a battery from solar cells and power all the CFLs in the house using small inverters. I would have a voltage sensor co it could switch back to mains. Still planning it all, but very excited!!!!
My 2 cents on this setup. From a simple experiment I had did in the past with ignition coil and ac capaitor and earth ground using an inverter as an isolation power souce the ignition coil behavior always acts to find earth ground by the very nature of the device. The earth ground is nothing more in my mind then a big capacitor. So you just bypassing your orginal cap by using ground to turn on the base makes sense. You have is a big giant loop because of radiant energy of the coil Resonace.
cool thanks for that man!! im very intent on using as much the earths and environments energy as possible, i found this while looking for the lowest input -- to high volt driver for my don smith,
this natural arrangement with grnd base definitely proves theres not just an abundance of neg charge, but also a force strong enough to trigger a power transistor at a seemingly steady rate :D
In vid 1 when i first hooked it up, even thru the cfls, i got a 3mm arc before hookin to positive!
Those CFL's are gutted, correct, circuitry removed, just two leads?

Does this circuit require a true earth ground?

very small gain need to show large current gain for useful power gain

...still pretty sweet... ground triggering base lol
Plus arcs from the hv, too cool, may not have the power for D Smith, but is great if you... use lights hehe
--check out vid 4 just posted and re-read the battery :)
Running for 3 days now and any gain, is surely spectacular, anyway, building a vari-freq driver as we speak.
Make some vids man!! im sure you'd make some good ones

thanks so much for showing the diagram. what an amazing circuit, earth to base, mind boggling!
