  • Do you get bit quite frequently and do you have a supply of antidote for all the snakes you have?

  • @harvesterofsorrow899 No & Yes

    I've had A/V once in 1974

  • Can you record a video of any diamondbacks laying eggs, or any snake eggs hatch?

  • @1996nfs Diamondbacks don't lay eggs. They are ovoviparus....look it up.

  • @viperkeeper oh. Something new I learned today. But may you record any of your snakes laying eggs?

  • @1996nfs No, I am not there 24/7.

  • Someone once said the men only need 3 things in life: Food, sleep, and sex.

  • amazing video of the black spitter.... why so laid back al ? most spitters are just nuts...

  • @DJKEVINEBADD I didn't ask him....

  • hah i have that exact same book on snakes at home @ 13:47

  • is that a black necked spitting cobra

  • @Heyde1979 Yes

  • i wish i had a cobra like urs

  • do you have any bushmasters?

  • @TOOL11212 Yes, they're off on a breeding program but the video is at the begining of this year. 'Top Tier Crotalid'

  • do you have any black mambas???

  • Al, I have been trying to load this video for three days and it keeps freezing. Didn't know if it is a youtube issue or a corrupted file. I don't think it's on my end as others are loading fine. Just letting you know.

  • It's youtube

  • Mr Black is a handsome devil. I hope you keep him around for a good long while.

  • thats good .. that cobra is pretty dosil but not to be trusted .. spray alocholl in your attick saw your roof hm thinki asked before but its all good much love be careful kim

  • Thanks Kim :-)

  • does your roof leak?

  • No...

  • the forest cobra is cute

  • Wow, you grabbed Mr. Black so calm and carefree. He's such an impressive cobra, hope you include him in another video soon!!! Luv all your videos bye the way!!!

  • where do you get those little hooks with the plastic hook ends?

  • Ace-capture equipment

  • Mr. Black reminds me a bit of Little Red. I love seeing the baby snakes! I want that first puff adder - what a beauty!!! Their markings are some of the prettiest next to the Gaboons and Rhinos.

  • Interesting video Al - anybody ever told you that you look like Brains from Thunderbirds with those on :-) (better then being temporarily blinded in a room with a loose and defensive Spitter!!!)

  • LOL...I know who you're talking about.

  • gorgeous snakes!

i've had to use those gloves before where i worked (not for anything venomous though) and they are really bad, decreased grip in the digits, but they do save your fingers so they are handy haha

  • Ooh, hinting at next year's calender. I'll be 3 for 3!

  • Are there any north american elapids other then the coral snakes?

  • No, that's it

  • I thought so but I was just making sure.

I am compiling a list of the venemous snakes of the world and doing north and south america are proving difficult.

    Thanks for responding.

  • You have mail

  • Arent u scared it will strike u?

    LOL "Nice Butt der Honey"

  • Great video, as always!

  • Yay! Glad you haven't given up on the idea of a 2010 calendar. Lovely new additions, Al. Thanks for sharing!

  • Mr Black. What a docile snake. Thank you for the videos. Furthering my fascination of venomous snakes

  • Beautiful new additions, Al.

  • all mr black wants to do is read the snake books

  • Mr.black sure is a stunning snake. looks quite menacing in a way.

  • Also - To be honest Bob, I'd rather have no feeling then Black Mamba or any other venomous animal's venom in my body...Baby or not!

  • Hi Al, you refer to a kill gun being neccessary to hand should you take Mr Black out to the lawn. That is stunn gun of some sort I presume?

    Cheers

  • No, a Shotgun. Hence "Kill Gun"

  • LOL

  • Another great video Al !

  • the puff adders are the bloods of the venomous world

  • Ahh Al. Thank you. It looks a lot more sinister than other Cobras though.

  • a new version of little red?

  • No, that coming soon.

  • Now this im looking forward to. Little Red was my star of your show.

  • Stunning animals Al, as always.

    Cheers for sharing.

  • Hi Al,

When hunting prey are spitters bite and hold or do they bite and release?

    Thanks

  • Usually bite/hold and beat the crap out of the prey till the venom takes effect.

  • lol that the calmest ive seen a Cobra around u there usaly out to get u exspeculy the king.

  • love the little forest cobra that is a really nice snake

  • Is a kill gun what I think it is?

  • Perhaps: A method of last resort used if a snake looks like it could escape.

  • I is what I think it is.

I guess killing the snake is better then having the snake killing (or blinding) all of the small children in the area.

  • That black spitting cobra is calmer then a lot of colubrids I know.

    Great video thanks!

  • Cool!

  • FUNNY SHORTS #1:

Al: "Mom, can you sorta scoope behind me and get the squeeze water bottle? ... if it wants a drink as it becomes hyper.

    Bob: "Of course it's empty."

Al: "No, not that one. That one had Chlorox in it."

    (...) :-)

  • Hey Al, great video as always.I was wondering if other types of mamba get those cavities under their fangs like the jamison's in your past videos? Its like having two mixed bags for june...but your still not off the hook.

  • No, I only see that with Jamies, weird huh? Thanks for reminding me....

  • Could the fang holes be a natural adaptation because the jamieson's have longer fangs then the other species of mamba?

  • No, they would not be infected & necrotic if they were.

  • "girlie tail cam".. comment brought the first smile on my face today. ;-)

  • Wow Al, great video like always.

I just admire your courage to be working W/ these venomous snakes.Where's the kittens?Lol you haven't showed the kitens in your videos lately.

    -Alex [Tsg1]

  • Thry are running around but hard to catch...

  • how many friends do u have in the snake world .. and how many friends do u have that help at your house.. uhh the baby cobra was pretty.. love kim

  • I have no idea but in the hundreds or thousands. Only Bob helps me out.

  • mr. black is a very well behaved animal!

  • Al, if this particular cobra bit you, would it be worse. What species is it? Where is it located in the world?

  • Naja nirgicollis, Tanzania. It would be not life threatening as far as neurotoxcity but the cytotoxic effect would not be pleasent.

  • Ah, ok. I was gonna ask if you figured out his species. What decided it?

  • Process of elimination.

  • top notch vid as usual Al. Gorgeous new additions too! you did make me a bit nervous with your hands on Mr.Black though. stay safe :)

  • "Not that one, it had Clorox in it." Yikes!!

Great video as always. The big black at the beginning was just adorable.

  • I hope to see more videos of the new one's u got it will be nice to see them getting bigger if u keep them that long.

  • what kind of snake is Mr. Black? cuz i know that's not a black mamba. it looks like a darker version of a tasmanian tiger snake.

  • Or looks like a Chappel Island Tiger

  • what color shade of black would u say mr.black is

  • Midnight black

  • Spitting Cobra...

  • man, you must really love snakes .i would be so scared handling a poisonous snake.

  • yeah, but it he swears that the snake looked over 18.

  • Very nice :)

  • Great video, as usual. Did those snakes come from Mad Martin?

  • woot first comment.

Cool video, of what i saw but i could not see the whole thing couse' it would not load fast enough =(

  • Yeah...your point?

  • what a curious little cute guy!

  • Wow, what an amazing snake! How would you ever get that snake back if you somehow lost sight of him and he got into that clutter in the background, wow.

Mr. Black, why did you choose that name? ;)

  • I'd have to blast it....

    Gee the name suited him!

  • Ha, I guess it does. :)

  • do your black mambas show the inside of their mouths to you very often?

  • It's never good when they do...

  • Mr. Black is a beauty!

  • how many snakes do you own/care for ?

  • A bunch!

  • haha that many

  • have you ever had to use a kill gun?

  • No, fortunately
