Jeff, I just got my ultra crimson carry yesterday. The one I got however doesn't look like your's it have slatewood crimson trace grips and is solid black. The guy at the gun shop tells me that these are very rare guns. I'm just wondering do you know if there is any way I could do some research on the serial number to find out if this is in fact a limited edition that i have bought. Kimbers website offers nothing of this sort. thanks

Jeff, I'm a big fan of your reviews. I have a couple questions for you though. I just ordered this gun yesterday and i'm wanting to know how well the standard sights work also did you have any trouble with the slide ramp im hearing a lot of people say that they have problems with the gun jamming because of this. To fix it they send there barrel back to kimber and they are making the slide ramp smoother.

I had no problems at all. The sights work very well. Many people use substandard ammo, and blame the gun. Feed it good stuff, and it should work very well for you.

i have this gun when you get it just call kimber and ask for the new slide stop, they will send it to you free of charge pop it in and you wont have one problem with this gun, its 100% reliable ive always been a glock guy until i got this what a gem!

only one, the Crimson Carry Ultra II. it incorperates that gorgeous wooden grip of the cdp, the size of the ultra kimber 45, AND a Crimson Trace laser in the grip. only problem is I live in Illinois. so I cant carry such a piece. :(
