Alsof de tijd heeft stil gestaan.. Dit lied betekent veel voor me heb er een jaar gewoond terug tussen mijn familie en dit lied beschrijft het zo goed! Maggie <3
yes she was wonderful and the song was great. I agree she should have won but the gusto that she shows here was much more exciting than in 1980. (She should also have also won in 1974 with 'I see a star', but then she would have had to have beaten Gigliola too singing 'Si'. What might have been!
Chapeau Maggie, thank god there are still artists who can sing live (and with such an ease)with an orchestra! Such a pitty the Eurovision Song Contest has been going down the drain...
It always warms my heart to hear that, decades after an entry was performed, its countrymen regard it highly. And wow, how the audience love it and sing along. I don't blame them, fantastic song, but this is just a wonderful musical moment. It makes my day. I would have loved to hear the applause after this song ended.
Just imagine standing there, 27 years later - and people who were not even born then are stanging there singins along! This is such a great song and such a great voice. She deserves to be more acknowledged in Netherlands than she is today. You go, Maggie!
The problem is in Netherlands, that artists who have more success in other countries (like MAggie had with Mouth & Macneal the whole 70s), you are seen as a traitor and never really treated right again.
Netherlands competed with this song, sung by Maggie MacNeal, in the Eurovision Song Contest held in The Hague in 1980. That means this song had not been published before, as that would have been against the rules of the competetion.
In 1978 Netherlands competed with "Harmony" performing the song "'T Is OK".
It was especially poignant that the Netherlands hosted the contest that year - and for the first ten minutes of the voting, it looked as if they were going to win again, and by a sweep! Well, moments like these show who the REAL winner is, if you catch my drift. :)

FANTASTISK, Maggie Macneal!!!! Du burde ha vunnet i 1980, og du burde vært en berømt artist over hele EUROPA!!!
You should have won i 1980, and you should have been famous all over Europe!!!!! TOP ARTIST, still after nearly 30 years.
