SnapOn. They were about $20 (I think that's the cheapest SnapOn-anything there is!). Got it from a SnapOn dealer out of his truck when he was visiting my local garage. I suggest talking to them - I don't see them on the website.
Question. Explain the purge system some more. How do you know when the lines are clear of veg oil and how long does it take to purge before you can turn off your car?
Good question. You need to watch it once to know for sure. The first time the install the kit, you'll need to purge to push all the air out of the system. Use that to tell you how long. Rate of fuel pumping is related to engine speed (rpm). On my car it's about 30 sec at idle. I like to purge for 20sec drining home, then drive another 30sec on diesel. Frozen veggie oil in your injector pump is not fun, just avoid it.
Good question. Fundementally - a diesel internal combustion engine doesn't change much. A lawn mower, a car, a truck, the space shuttle launch platform. The key is the oil needs to be hot enough to: a) mist proprly out the injectors (hot oil will do this) b) flow with as little resistance an diesel (hot oil will do this as well)
If the fuel line is short (<3ft) than heat in the tank should suffice. Heat can be added as simply as electric heater + battery. But I advise against new comers doing this as a cost-savings effort. You can get bitten. I think your friend would be OK with a 80% Diesel & 20% veggie fuel however. Diesel thins out the veggie and the two dissasociate completly in eachother
hey thee, great setup!
we just converted a bus to wvo

This is great thanks for making the videos to help us along.
By the way what would it take to use vegetable oil in a diesel small engine like a mower?
Would you have to heat the tank or would it be more involved that that?
Thanks agin.

Thanks for answering back.
hmmn, well my friend does lawn care and he has a diesel truck and a big diesel commercial mower and the price of fuel is killing him.
He is going to have to either raise prices again or just give it up which is basically suicide either way he goes.
Any suggestions on how to heat that fuel tank?
He probably wouldn't have to heat the line huh?
