  • Stu was a dear friend and one of my first drummers...from his New Jersey Years.....I was honored to play on his final recording...Rob Paparozzi RIP STU

  • Incredible images!

    Rest In Peace Stu

  • I never met Stu. We knew each other from an online drummers forum. We became friends that way. He shared his knowledge with me, his history, and, he'd email me the things he was working on. I was humbled that he'd ask *my* opinion on what he was doing. I enjoyed his work, I noticed little things, influences - and that's what he seemed to like. He was an awesome guy and I miss him. It saddens me I never got to shake his hand.

  • 15 or so years ago I somehow found Stu's e-mail address. I sent an e-mail asking him questions re: drumming and music. He was kind enough to send several replies to me, a stranger, explaining and answering. His sincerity and kindness somehow came through via cyberspace. Thanks, Stu.

  • back in here again to see him, crying again, this is gonna hurt forever - -

  • This was really well done and thanks for putting it up for all to see.

  • to the person who did this video. my deepest thanks for a beautiful video. stu was a very close comrade and brother to me for many years. this captures what a sweet guy he was and how much we miss him. peace. g.e. stinson

  • He died? What the heck! (First Chuck.. now this :( ) That sucks. Rest in Peace Stu.

I'll say a pray for him and his family; and the former members of the Shadowfax group.

  • It's always a tragedy when an artist dies before his time while so many who have nothing to contribute or to look forward too just go and on.

But as Neil Young once wrote, "Better to burn out than to fade away". Stu left his legacy behind him as a lasting tribute.

We should all be so fortunate as to be able to do something with our lives that lives on after us.

    Sorry I never knew him.

  • Stu Nevitt is one of the main reasons we spend so much time on drums and percussion, he raised our level of awareness without ever letting on if he knew how phenomenal his talents are - listen to The Marion Kind or and Shadowfax album (Watercourse Way is a good place to start) - Stu is so missed...

  • I cannot stop balling right now, this is exactly what the world needs to see and know - how can we, who don't even know each other, have the exact same feelings as what you've shared here - thank you, please admin with us for Stu on Facebook...my shirt is soaked with tears...post this there too please...so many love you Stu, so many still hurt that you are gone.
