Also, (last post, I swear) Jeter has probably THE best form of any runner on the circuit today. From the placement of her hands to the lift in her knees to the positioning of her feet as they touch the ground, she is textbook. VCB on the other hand, always looks like she's about to fall on her face with her legs flailing wildly from side to side.
@CHEETAH69 You are really right ,i have notice Jeter run with techniques right from the textbook of john smith but VCB try to rely on pure and natural speed which is good but to some extent cause her to loose a lot of ground.and this evidence to the fact why Allyson is a mutiple gold medalist, she does not run with only her pure speed but felix incudes beautiful techniques like great endurance and relaxation right to the finish line.
@CHEETAH69, i agree with you Jeter's technique is great. And also that Veronica looks like she is gonna fall flat on her face. But, think back to Michael Johnson, whose form sucked, but look at how fast he was. so form isn't everything.
two years ago after her two 10.6 races i thought she would run a sub 10.6 but im not sure anymore. last year only a 10.82 and this year a 10.70 with a +2.0 wind(thats a 10.80 with zero wind) doesnt make me very optimistic anymore but we'll see next year
carmelita jeter is just outright beautiful to watch. Her running style is just vicious.Ferocious arm pump and leg lift through every stage.Pure hard work and desire.
@Bigsmith4040 Pure hard work desire, absolutely, aided by the recovery and strength drugs provide. Look at her body, how it's changed. And don't say weightlifting, women don't bulk up like that while doing sprint training. Shit , men wish they could bulk up like that and they have testicles!
@nutlil2 haha, you shut the fuck up, you stupid, i guess ur black then? Get fucking real, she's built like a man, alot of those female sprinters are built like men. Look into her story first you dumb fuck, then reply with something intelligent and sensible.
I don't get how many believe she's on drugs. Well, I guess I do. But are we to believe that she got a hold of such good stuff that would take her from a middle-of-the-pack runner to a world class elite and NOT get caught? She's been tested and re-tested (then tested again). How could she be guilty of doping and not have gotten caught yet? I mean it's been 2 years since her phenomenal rise.
@CHEETAH69 Her rise already started in 2007, before she changed her coach and peaked in late 2009 season than stabilize around her actual values, check in her bio
Saw for the first time in the world championships 2011 and am pleased and happy that you have finally won a GOLD MEDAL that you really deserved. I love your southern drawl accent...and a body shape...just perfect with a lovelly smile..
@Tretre12345, i dont usually reply to rubbish on youtube but i found yours to very silly which needs attention.both asafa powel and Jeter might have not won individual gold medals but have good history in the sports.Powell a former recorded holder and Jeter has got the fastest time in history which is all in the record books of life. When you perform well at diamond league or golden league events,u get a lot of endorsement due to the lot of sponsorships that supports those events.
@CHEETAH69,.............the glory hunters can run well at big meets but the only thing they take along is a gold medal around their neck with some few dollars.but in the golden league and diamond league u get a lot of million dollar jackpot for urself when you win.i will rather run well in a league than just cross the finish line for normal robe around my neck called medal.
@MrFlexybee Thats stupid... You don't suppose the gold medalists are making money off of endorsements after an Olympic medal? Furthermore money comes and goes. A medal is something you take with you for years to come. An Olympic medal is like the light at the end of the tunnel after all your hard work. No amount of money can ever replace that kind of satisfaction, and if you ask any other track runner the majority will be sure to tell you that..
@tretre12345 I think you make a very good point. But I think a gold medal means nothing if you're not able to benefit financially from it. Now I'm not saying that many wouldn't say they'd much rather win an Olympic gold than make thousands on the circuit. Fraser won olympic gold in 08 and she'll forever be announced as "2008 Olympic Champion..." But what good is that title in July 2011 when she can't win any major meets outside of Jamaica?
Has anyone attributed Jeters speed to just plain on ole hard work and superior technique? After what Marion Jones went through any track and field athlete who is willing to risk their career let alone their freedom would be a legitimate fool. Oh the BTW Jeter is one fine chick.
@gtisfree She has terrible form, she sprints ahead on pure power. VCB has a much nicer stride than her as well as Alison felix. Though they are not drugged upo like her. Jeter is today's Kelli White. Look at her fat face and her extreme muscluature. The girls on the circuit have to know whats up.
Her style is not all alone about power but is generated by two different reflexes...one that causes an explosive high-knee motion and the second one for the backspin of the knee which would otherwise go a bit higher.
The second one causes the shortening of her strides but allowes for a speed-up during the race wherever she wants.
It´s a new style and it has nothing to do with running styles of 99% of the other sprinters an it certainly not depends on drug use of any kind.
@DJRedsocks she runs the same as she used to when she was slower. People attribute so much sprinting sucess to technique and style, when honestly, that's bullshit. The reason sprinters dope is because technique only slightly enhances a runner, compared to the faster more explosive runner. I hear what your trying to say, but sprinting is as old as time, you condition, do some form running, work on your starts, and you run as fast as god allows you. U enhance that with drugs because u want towin
I do not want to be disrespectful but I have to disagree about her using the same technique that long.
I just watched her 2007 Adidas Track Classic´s 100m and what I see is more or less the same upper body rotation technique that is used by most female sprinters today...she totally changed her technique within a year or so towards that what we can see here.
No worries about being disrespectful, you talking about this race? watch?v=L_MObk5DacI
I can only say what i see, it woudl be interesting what others see as well, but she looks very similiar, except she is abotu 15lbs more muscular:) I guess we can agree to disagree. What do others think?
Even with a tweak to the arms, that won't cut a half a second off your 100m time in a year. I would love to hear what the other girls on the circuit are whispering about jeter. And i have a strong feeling it isn't, wow, that jeter has really improved her technique. Btw, that video you sent me is an interesting one, but i don't get how everyone is so easily fooled. But I guess that is what you mean by the ground contact:)
@TheAngeltoDemon I can't say whether or not Jeter is clean. And I'm certain some on the circuit have their suspicions. But Jeter was perpetually hurt before. She didn't weight train nearly as much and she says her mental approach to running was screwed up. I think it's possible to address each of those things, in addition to a change in technique and then transform a runner from a so-so sprinter into a world class one. I think also John Smith is too smart to risk a positive test.
after reading some comments, I have to make a case for the importance of changing one's technique. I trained for 3 years with one coach. I switched coaches and within 8 months, I dropped .38 from my 100, 1.3 seconds from my 200 and 2.5 whole seconds from my 400. I must add that I included a lot more weight training. But my running style COMPLETELY changed and I was a totally different runner. I'm not saying Jeter is clean. I'm just asking that you not ignore the significance of technique.
@CHEETAH69 I think that has some truth as well. she's always had the finishing speed before she hooked up with john smith but the "re-acceleration" is nothing but a "finishing effort". Maybe you've never heard of the float method.
she has a perfect acceleration phase. She accelerates well out of her drive phase, floats, then re accelerates towards the latter half of the race. It's not drugs dumbasses it's just flawless technique
@Nickyelunico I'm a former sprinter. I watched this video REPEATEDLY, looking at exactly what you mentioned...her technique and acceleration. I even went back and looked at Flo-Jo's for comparison again. This girl has amazing technique. Also, I don't see/hear drugs at all...especially when you hear her high-pitched voice!
@Nickyelunico Good description. But NO ONE re-accelerates at the end of the race. Acceleration is continued until about 60 m. Everything after that is simply holding on or decelerating the least. Jeter, Bolt, Flojo or Gay tend to win (or won) because they basically slow down the least.
@ilove9ff who knows it? IAAF doesn't seem to know it. what proof do you have? She had a stellar 3 weeks (10.67, 10.64, and 10.83 against a STRONG STRONG win). Nothing shows drugs. Just spectacular peaking by an amazing coach, John Smith.
o.k now show us your olympic gold miss fastest woman in the world . lol .... you are a fucking loser jeter nothing to show for all this fast time . worthless bitch !
@smoothnubian i think thats because the two countries are so similar that many dont like it..as much as people dont want to believe it..America is Jamaica's backbone and they dont like that..
First off...SAF tested positive for oxycodone...which is for pain relief...nothing performance enhancing, and it was a small error in not listing it that was the issue. Its also not fair to take this performance away from Carmelita...this run was pretty much perfect. In terms of age, alot of other athletes have done crazy things in their 30s ( Paula Radcliffe, Michael Johnson, Merlene Ottey, Kathy Freeman, Bridget Foster-hylton etc). An athlete can have an incredible performance at any moment.

@phastman,i dont waste my time on ugly nasty looking bitches.all athletes have been given list of drug that must be avoided for the peace of the sport.in the law court IGNORANCE IS NOT AN EXCUSE.fraser can not give an excuse for her tooth ache.i think u are the one retarded now.u got to go the rehab with fraser.hahhaha
I remember fucking Jeter way back, I called her a bitch and thought she was just a booty call, I'm so stupid to let her go, I would be rolling deep right now. Damn she can suck a dick.
One thing for her to work on is her start and drive phase she sometimes seem to rush it but great speed and power to go along with awsome tecnique jeter will break the record soon if she keeps this up
@CHEETAH69 I think Lauryn Williams has been struggling because she is too heavy. Whn Lauryn was on top of the worlds sprinters she was way skinnier than what she is now. Look at her 2004 olmypic video and compare it to her 09 races. Maybe to much time in the gym or too much time at McDonalds. Getting bigger does not help everyone. it can significantly slow down your turnover.
@Paco801 Good observation. She does appear to be a bit thicker these days. Perhaps she's just getting older and it's a natural thing that comes with age. It doesn't, however, look like she's packed on muscle.
@09MUHS Yea but there is a such thing as too much muscle. Just cause something is muscle doe snot mean it is good. Why you think body builders can't run?
@09MUHS Uh her legs have gotten too BIG!. I have followed her since her college days she look like 15 pounds heavier than the days she was racing Marion Jones. For you to say Jeter got nothing on Veronica well how about the second fastest woman to run the 100m behind Flo JO,
@Paco801 flo jo's body build looked like any regular womans body except the fact that she was tall. Jeter's legs aren't too big and as yu can see everything leading up to this point has done nothing but benefit her and if her legs were really hurting her times, her coaches would've said something to her by now I mean they are the ones who give her the weight program to work off of
@09MUHS LOL, who you thought I was talking about? Yes Lauryn done put on like 10 to 15 pounds since she won Silver in the olympics. When you are 5ft3" that is bad news for your knee lift.
VCB too was champion from a young age,she has won at every iaaf level. WJY 100,200 CHAMPION AND 100M WyC AND STILL HAS THE 100 AND 200 CHAMPIONSHIP RECORDS.wENT ON TO nCCA AND WON ALSO SETTING RECORDs AS WELL,but still people talk about drugs and compare her again to others, and her muscle tone as well. Notice she has been like this long time as far as 07, before, not overnight.
Look up Usain Bolt a world jnr champ at age 15, other races are there as well of his teen days, before you compare.
That's something i notice about some of the haterz who post, they don't know a lot about track either. When Bolt won, they say well drugs, he came out of no where. This is a guy that ran 19.93 as a 16 yo, no real top coaching, still the only teen to dip under 20s. Won gold at WYC AND WJC including a record that still stands 20.40 into a -1.1 headwind and a 20.61 on a wet track respectively. But still they compare him to others who weren't doing anything special .
Also her weapon is her start, she's in Asafa's camp, her coach taught her that. Notice they are phenomenal starters. When she was in hs, she never had this.Plus she ran 10.88 at Bejing trials. Jetter has been around a long time, that's the difference running the 100 and wasn't breaking 11s until 08 then after. Saf debut on the circuit after bejing trials. Bolt as i said never ran the 100, big difference. That's why people are talkin about Jetter, she's 30.Maybe she's a late bloomer
You can't compare SAF AND bOLT WITH jETTER.See Bolt never ran the 100, only 200 and sometimes 400.He only tried 100 to improve because his coach wanted him to do 400 and he said the training was too hard.He ran 10.03, which was better than lot of 100m runners pb at the time, realized he had potential and trained for it, rest is history. Saf 11.31 or so was her high school times, notice in 08 she was only 21. She also never had this coach and certainly not this rocket start.
@TrickSports Is that what campbell's look is saying? Maybe she can't believe that she ran her fastest time of the year and STILL got dusted by nearly 5 meters. Or maybe her look is saying, "Damn perhaps I should switch coaches." Who knows?
Jeter needs to put this type of performances into bigger meets like the olympics and the world championships. I hope that she doesn't become the female version of Asafa Powell. It would be a terrible waste of great talent.
lol! yeah cambell knows whatsup lol. Jeter has sucked her entire track career has has never been a force running 11.4's then at 30 shes dropping college men times? lol get out of here at least she could have slowed down to not make it so obvious lol
@spdydre What college produces men that run 10.6? Don't be misleading in your assessment. Jeter didn't go from running 11.4 to 10.6. She'd run 10.9 the year prior. And yeah the jump was a big one. But the sport is filled with instances of folks making huge leaps in performance. Until she fails a drug test, all is legit.
all i have to say is i think carmelita jeter is on drugs. My reasons is she got so buff in a year and droped 0.4 seconds in one year at the age of 30. I think shelly ann fraser and christine arron are true world record holders. But if you think carmelitia is not on steroids then why think flo jo was on steroids. personally i think they both did but look at how flo jo dropped her times so fast and look at how carmelita did ......thats just my opinion
shut up little girl. adding a significant amount of muscle within a year is plausible especially for pro athletes, Jeters been on the scene for years and she needed the extra muscle to improve her start and drive phase. Masking steroid use is impossible anyway because its stays in the system for over year after the initial use.
@bluelightxy...I usually don't reply to these youtube posts but I thought yours was interesting. If you cite Jeter's time drop and her added muscle mass, I would like to know what you think about Shelly Ann Fraser who dropped from 11.31 to 10.78 to win the 100m at the Olympics and got decidedly more toned. Not to mention Bolt's monumental drop from 10.03 to 9.69. If you're going to give these athletes the benefit of the doubt, then refrain on judging Ms. Jeter until tests prove otherwise.
@wfuspoloprince i agree.....shelly was a nobody and then won the gold medal just like nesterenko in 2004-----she got to be on something.....and usain is on something too
@wfuspoloprince That 10.03 was his first professional 100m race ever! You must not have been keeping up with track for very long other wise you would know that Bolt ran a 19.93 in the 200 when he was only 17. Bolt breaking records should come as no surprise to anyone who actually knew who he was before 2008.
@wfuspoloprince those were monumental drops yes but why hasnt jeter run under 10.80 cosistently since then and two tenths of a second is monumental in 100m sprints. Next Bolt is on an upward peak and has never run 100m at the youth level so you would expect that from someone who is 20-23 jeter is 30 -__- 10.64
Well, soon said...Bolt & frazier are before their "PRIme" under 23 still now.Jeter is at career finish.
It is normal for human beings to rech their top at 25 Years old,it's almost impossible to improve that massively after 28-29 if you do athletics since your teen age.
@Bajinjo Who says it's impossible? I think the problem that many people encounter is that they interject their own ideas of what's possible and not. How does one explain Ottey's career spanning nearly 30 years, with the last 10 being the most impressive? The human body is a truly fascinating thing. Let go of what you've told is possible.
(now of course if it's found that she was cheating, I will sadly have to eat this keyboard)
@wfuspoloprince Best post I have ever read on a race. I have been saying this stuff to all the haters for too long that is you question one you question them all.
@wfuspoloprince Bolt's 10.03 was his FIRST professional 100m ever. Who else can say on their first try they run a world class time? Also he ran a 19.93 200m at only 17 years of age. So Bolt going sub 10 shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who's been following track for more than 3 years. I know the 100 and 200 are two completely different races but seriously, Bolt has been a record breaker since he was a teenager. There is a HUGE difference between his progression in Jeter.
@EPizits To me, the olympics and world championships don't mean shit. It's just another race. It's about who's got the fastest time of the year. That's the real champion.
@trypticon101 Championships are the whole point of crowning the champion. That's like saying the team with the best record in the regular season of the NFL are the champions even if they get knocked out in the first round of the playoffs. At the end of the day, people remember Olympic and world champions more than they do the person who ran the fastest in one particular season. Who do you think will be remebered more Carl Lewis or Leroy Burrell? Lmao.
@EPizits Let's say an olympic javelin final is won by some guy throwing 83 meters at his best, while the world lead thrower who's been over 90 m several times fails because he has a fucked up day, I don't see the 83 m thrower as a true champion. He can wear his medal and all but... That's just how I see it.
@trypticon101 I see what you're saying but being able to perform better than everyone else on the big stage and when the pressure is on is what makes a champion. I know you remember when tyson gay beat powell in osaka. But at the time Powell was the only 9.7 sprinter out. But gay ran better when it mattered. Jeter is definitely one of the best female sprinters out right now, but your personal best isn't what makes you the champ unless you can perform at that level when it matters most.
@EPizits Though I see the point of your well-thought out agument, comparing the NFL to track is faulty. Of course every athlete trains to win the Olympics/WC. But those don't determine who's #1. It's overall season and win vs loss records. And fast times are kinda irrelevant. Someone told me some chick ran 10.74 from europe a few years ago. I still don't know who she is and something tells me few others do either.
@CHEETAH69 I agree with you 100%. I could care less about fast times unless they're ran in the races that matter. Asafa Powell is the perfect example. He can run his ass off in low key meets. But if its the olympics he'll barely break 10 seconds. Lol
everybody who's ever been considered to be the fastest person has been said to be on drugs. it's not as easy nowadays as it was in the past to be on drugs and get away with it. athletes random drug tests more often than normal. so you cant say the ever person that has blistering speed is on drugs JUST because they're fast and winning...
Speed and form, obviously. And, if and when the piss test comes back, positive, then your point is well taken. But until then, except what you see, just like you do when Stewart and Campbell wins.
are people still saying she's on drugs? I thought these ridiculous rumors were silenced last year? If she's on drugs than Campbell-Brown and Stewart are too because they all have the same muscle mass...
are people still saying she's on drugs? I thought these ridiculous rumors were silenced last year? If she's on drugs than Campbell-Brown and Stewart are too because they all have the same muscle mass...
some athlete like yelena isinbayeva dont peak or perform their best at championship level. The excellent russian pole vaulter set the world record weeks later
well according to the World Track and Field Records committee i just checked they threw out Flo-Jo's record (10.49) as they think it was wind aided an see the Record as 10.61 which would give a chance to Jeter if she runs with legal wind conditions!
And also in Caribbean its usually cricket, football which you call soccer, and track.other sports are played but as I mentioned a lack of resource and expertise hampers there improvement.Netball is also there, the sunshine girls, but again lack of financial support.that's how it is in 3rd world countries, not on par with 1st world countries, get it!
Killahoe, its funny you mentioned bobsledge, because it doesn't snow in the Caribbean at all,its tropical climate,so for them to win on ice, which they don't have, really speak volumes doesn't it.
she developed and worked on her technique along with strengh and he start. she also seems to use maurice greene's 7 phases. i don't think drugs is the answer, just hard work and training. Her voice hasn't changed ever since 2006-07 season, she just worked on her weaknesses and developed her strengh, and that is what made her a top athlete.
You can't get blown out of the water at the championshiops and then next day run amazing. Athletes train so that they can peak at the championships.Thats how it works. It really doesnt make any sense
And also I never once doubted Marian,I really taught she was just too good.she was taller than all the others and bigger,I said she was just too powerfull, plus she passed all her tests.Montgomery was the only one I was suspicious about, and he passed all his tests.
I'm not hatin on Jetter either,I'm just stating an observation, that is athletes who normally weren't running fast throughout their early to mid 20s,doesn't get fast at 30,they get slower. One other person who wasn't fast throughtout this period, and suddenly ran the wr overnight was Montgomery.
Killahoe I'.in case you don't know, look at the world map, you'll see how tiny Jamaica is and other Caribbean islands are smaller.-I'm not makin excuses,.Comparing a island of E2.8 m aganist a country of Over 300m is suicide.People like Bolt are once in a lifetime athlete, just like Jordon,or Ali.
Killahoe when since Track is Us no 1 sport?huh? I taught it was Nfl,Baseball and Basketballand Hockey .1which apart from Basketball, the rest of the world aren't really intrested in.
Fraser ran out of steam, because she's not as strong yet .she's just 22,her body is no where developed as Jetter who's almost R30.when she gets older and more developed, she'll be able to do more hard core training and will be able to maintain her form.with that rocket start,Flo jo wr will be a memory.
Ottey was running 10.90s and 80s throughtout her career.she did not run 10.74 overnight.she's won over 14 medals in wc and olympics.how can you compare this legend with Jetter, who just came at almost 28.Jetter has not even been to an olympic
dang ras can u let her enjoy her win? i know she ain't from jamaica but stop hating. u call u.s sore losers? how many medals y'all got? track is ur main sport but we win in other sports also and not in just track. there r some u.s athletes that have been busted 4 substance but even after that u won't give jeters credit? stop fucking hating. u got more excuses than anybody. no resources, no money shit did that hold back asafa or bolt? stop makin excuses.
This is a very fast track
Perfect for sprinting gay got 9.69 here

Also, (last post, I swear) Jeter has probably THE best form of any runner on the circuit today. From the placement of her hands to the lift in her knees to the positioning of her feet as they touch the ground, she is textbook. VCB on the other hand, always looks like she's about to fall on her face with her legs flailing wildly from side to side.

Oh the BTW Jeter is one fine chick.

no nobody but you genius...
jasscaff 4 months ago
@gtisfree She has terrible form, she sprints ahead on pure power. VCB has a much nicer stride than her as well as Alison felix. Though they are not drugged upo like her. Jeter is today's Kelli White. Look at her fat face and her extreme muscluature. The girls on the circuit have to know whats up.
TheAngeltoDemon 4 months ago
@TheAngeltoDemon shut the fuck up!!! how else is she supposed to run but the best way she can dumbass????? you probably some dumb ass white boy!
nutlil2 4 months ago
@TheAngeltoDemon
DJRedsocks 4 months ago
@DJRedsocks she runs the same as she used to when she was slower. People attribute so much sprinting sucess to technique and style, when honestly, that's bullshit. The reason sprinters dope is because technique only slightly enhances a runner, compared to the faster more explosive runner. I hear what your trying to say, but sprinting is as old as time, you condition, do some form running, work on your starts, and you run as fast as god allows you. U enhance that with drugs because u want towin
TheAngeltoDemon 4 months ago
@TheAngeltoDemon
DJRedsocks 4 months ago
@DJRedsocks
No worries about being disrespectful, you talking about this race? watch?v=L_MObk5DacI
I can only say what i see, it woudl be interesting what others see as well, but she looks very similiar, except she is abotu 15lbs more muscular:) I guess we can agree to disagree. What do others think?
TheAngeltoDemon 4 months ago
@TheAngeltoDemon
Yes...same Video I saw before...try to imagine view from above:
2007: shoulders+arms circle around upper body
2009: shoulders are moving up and down (you won´t see it)+arms are moving parallel
It´s all about the shoulders not the arms...you just need to use this energy...
watch?v=BBBb6z8DCsY&list=FLStJh2Kkr2NgMRfSSH0-9wg&index=1
...for the explosiveness of the ground contact;)
DJRedsocks 4 months ago
@DJRedsocks
TheAngeltoDemon 4 months ago
@TheAngeltoDemon I can't say whether or not Jeter is clean. And I'm certain some on the circuit have their suspicions. But Jeter was perpetually hurt before. She didn't weight train nearly as much and she says her mental approach to running was screwed up. I think it's possible to address each of those things, in addition to a change in technique and then transform a runner from a so-so sprinter into a world class one. I think also John Smith is too smart to risk a positive test.
CHEETAH69 4 months ago
after reading some comments, I have to make a case for the importance of changing one's technique.

Nickyelunico 9 months ago
@Nickyelunico I'm a former sprinter. I watched this video REPEATEDLY, looking at exactly what you mentioned...her technique and acceleration. I even went back and looked at Flo-Jo's for comparison again. This girl has amazing technique. Also, I don't see/hear drugs at all...especially when you hear her high-pitched voice!
stevie586 9 months ago
@stevie586 Yes. I agree...just watch the knee lift.
tjohnson732 9 months ago
@Nickyelunico Good description. But NO ONE re-accelerates at the end of the race. Acceleration is continued until about 60 m. Everything after that is simply holding on or decelerating the least. Jeter, Bolt, Flojo or Gay tend to win (or won) because they basically slow down the least.

I think she was just outta shape, Idk why I haven't seen her this year! I know she wasn't injured or anything like that!
Nickyelunico 1 year ago
@CHEETAH69 I think Lauryn Williams has been struggling because she is too heavy. Whn Lauryn was on top of the worlds sprinters she was way skinnier than what she is now. Look at her 2004 olmypic video and compare it to her 09 races. Maybe to much time in the gym or too much time at McDonalds. Getting bigger does not help everyone. it can significantly slow down your turnover.
Paco801 1 year ago
@Paco801 Good observation. She does appear to be a bit thicker these days. Perhaps she's just getting older and it's a natural thing that comes with age. It doesn't, however, look like she's packed on muscle.

Paco801 1 year ago
@Paco801 flo jo's body build looked like any regular womans body except the fact that she was tall. Jeter's legs aren't too big and as yu can see everything leading up to this point has done nothing but benefit her and if her legs were really hurting her times, her coaches would've said something to her by now I mean they are the ones who give her the weight program to work off of

Ras09true 1 year ago
That's something i notice about some of the haterz who post, they don't know a lot about track either. When Bolt won, they say well drugs, he came out of no where. This is a guy that ran 19.93 as a 16 yo, no real top coaching, still the only teen to dip under 20s. Won gold at WYC AND WJC including a record that still stands 20.40 into a -1.1 headwind and a 20.61 on a wet track respectively. But still they compare him to others who weren't doing anything special .
Ras09true 1 year ago
Also her weapon is her start, she's in Asafa's camp, her coach taught her that. Notice they are phenomenal starters. When she was in hs, she never had this.Plus she ran 10.88 at Bejing trials. Jetter has been around a long time, that's the difference running the 100 and wasn't breaking 11s until 08 then after. Saf debut on the circuit after bejing trials. Bolt as i said never ran the 100, big difference. That's why people are talkin about Jetter, she's 30.Maybe she's a late bloomer
Ras09true 1 year ago
@Wfuspoloprince
She also never had this coach and certainly not this rocket start.

spdydre 1 year ago
@spdydre What college produces men that run 10.6? Don't be misleading in your assessment. Jeter didn't go from running 11.4 to 10.6. She'd run 10.9 the year prior. And yeah the jump was a big one. But the sport is filled with instances of folks making huge leaps in performance. Until she fails a drug test, all is legit.

all i have to say is i think carmelita jeter is on drugs. My reasons is she got so buff in a year and droped 0.4 seconds in one year at the age of 30. I think shelly ann fraser and christine arron are true world record holders. But if you think carmelitia is not on steroids then why think flo jo was on steroids. personally i think they both did but look at how flo jo dropped her times so fast and look at how carmelita did ......thats just my opinion
bluelightxy 1 year ago 2
shut up little girl. adding a significant amount of muscle within a year is plausible especially for pro athletes, Jeters been on the scene for years and she needed the extra muscle to improve her start and drive phase. Masking steroid use is impossible anyway because its stays in the system for over year after the initial use.
turnbacktime 1 year ago
@bluelightxy i dun think so=.=''
kb520 1 year ago
@bluelightxy...I usually don't reply to these youtube posts but I thought yours was interesting. If you cite Jeter's time drop and her added muscle mass, I would like to know what you think about Shelly Ann Fraser who dropped from 11.31 to 10.78 to win the 100m at the Olympics and got decidedly more toned. Not to mention Bolt's monumental drop from 10.03 to 9.69. If you're going to give these athletes the benefit of the doubt, then refrain on judging Ms. Jeter until tests prove otherwise.

EPizits 1 year ago
@wfuspoloprince those were monumental drops yes but why hasnt jeter run under 10.80 cosistently since then and two tenths of a second is monumental in 100m sprints. Next Bolt is on an upward peak and has never run 100m at the youth level so you would expect that from someone who is 20-23 jeter is 30 -__- 10.64
wavz90 1 year ago
@wfuspoloprince
Well, soon said...Bolt & frazier are before their "PRIme" under 23 still now.Jeter is at career finish.
It is normal for human beings to rech their top at 25 Years old,it's almost impossible to improve that massively after 28-29 if you do athletics since your teen age.
Bajinjo 1 year ago
@Bajinjo Who says it's impossible? I think the problem that many people encounter is that they interject their own ideas of what's possible and not. How does one explain Ottey's career spanning nearly 30 years, with the last 10 being the most impressive? The human body is a truly fascinating thing. Let go of what you've told is possible.

@trypticon101 The last Olympics and World championships say different.
EPizits 7 months ago
@EPizits To me, the olympics and world championships don't mean shit. It's just another race. It's about who's got the fastest time of the year. That's the real champion.
trypticon101 7 months ago
@trypticon101 Championships are the whole point of crowning the champion. That's like saying the team with the best record in the regular season of the NFL are the champions even if they get knocked out in the first round of the playoffs. At the end of the day, people remember Olympic and world champions more than they do the person who ran the fastest in one particular season. Who do you think will be remebered more Carl Lewis or Leroy Burrell? Lmao.
EPizits 7 months ago
@EPizits Let's say an olympic javelin final is won by some guy throwing 83 meters at his best, while the world lead thrower who's been over 90 m several times fails because he has a fucked up day, I don't see the 83 m thrower as a true champion. He can wear his medal and all but... That's just how I see it.
trypticon101 7 months ago
@trypticon101 I see what you're saying but being able to perform better than everyone else on the big stage and when the pressure is on is what makes a champion. I know you remember when tyson gay beat powell in osaka. But at the time Powell was the only 9.7 sprinter out. But gay ran better when it mattered. Jeter is definitely one of the best female sprinters out right now, but your personal best isn't what makes you the champ unless you can perform at that level when it matters most.
EPizits 7 months ago
@EPizits Though I see the point of your well-thought out agument, comparing the NFL to track is faulty. Of course every athlete trains to win the Olympics/WC. But those don't determine who's #1. It's overall season and win vs loss records. And fast times are kinda irrelevant. Someone told me some chick ran 10.74 from europe a few years ago. I still don't know who she is and something tells me few others do either.
CHEETAH69 7 months ago
@CHEETAH69 I agree with you 100%. I could care less about fast times unless they're ran in the races that matter. Asafa Powell is the perfect example. He can run his ass off in low key meets. But if its the olympics he'll barely break 10 seconds. Lol
