  • You've got the touch bro!

  • @BJTubeify Thanks mate :)

  • great job ausdag, I'm working on this tune at the minute (this version) not easy though. excellent playing.

  • @Snipingpiper Thanks snipingpiper, it's a great tune for pipes and one every learner piper should cut their teeth on. All the best with the tune. :-)

  • Add some regulators and you'll sound just like Liam O'Flynn... :)

  • @deltasalmon Thanks, mate :-) Actually, it was Liam O'Flynn playing this tune that was my first ever experience of hearing the pipes, so his method of playing it has always been the way I like to try and play it. Regs coming soon (hopefully) :-)

  • What kind of pipes are you playing. VERY nice!

  • @Kgilstrap1

Thank you, the chanter is my first chanter I bought from Adrian Jefferies back in 1991. It's a close copy of a Rowsome. Drones by Eugene Lambe. I play a set of my own making these days though. Cheers :-)

  • DAMN mate this is so EPIC!!!

you're an amazing piper.. keep up the great work!!

    best wishes from Berlin/Germany =)

  • @IcyIce17

Thanks mate! :-) Glad you like it. Cheers.

  • Great

  • Very nice this peacefully tune played with uilleann pipe.

is it possible tu get the partition for uilleann pipe??

  • Great Stuff mate. One of the best versions of this great tune that I have heard. Keep it up. Great timing and a great musical sound from you chanter

  • Thanks Langer :-) Been working on the timing AND the sound for a long time. I think I'm getting there...finally :-)

  • That was wonderful!

The chanter really gives the haunting melody that this song requires.(atleast I think its required lol)

  • Thanks GlennMorgan. The first time I heard this tune it was played on the uilleann pipes, which was also the first time I'd ever heard the pipes too :-)

  • Lovely playing!

It seems your high B is a bit flat though?

Thanks for the vid, I enjoyed it

  • Thanks oodominicoo. Actually the high B is in tune. I play it with the ring finger down to bring it down to tune with the drones. Most chanters play high B sharp, so perhaps you're used to hearing the more common, but sharp high B. :-)
