If finished it will look awesome but you won't be able to see it. London seems to be competing to outbuild each other's skyscrapers that even already it just looks like a mess.
(Elpht&Cstle),"The Leadenhall building"...However I dislike the "Heron Tower",it doesn't look that good. Now most of them are under construction and by the Olympics,it will be looking great!/As a frenchman,I'm happy to see that many great projects have been approved in Paris La Défense as well(The "french City".)I'm inviting you to check them out, especially "Tour Signal"(brand new architecture,301m),"Hermitage Plaza"(stunning twin towers,323m),"Tour Generali"(318m)","Tour Phare"(around 300m),
Hi there,as a former resident of my "beloved" london,I am delighted to see that several huge skyscrapers were eventually given the "green light".I left London in March 09 after 4 years, but I still feel part of it!London's skyline already is stunning but with those new tall buildings,it's gonna be even more gorgeous.I love "The Shard"(Waou!!!),"The Bishopgate Tower","The Beetham Tower"(whose shape is amazing),"The 20 Fenchurch St"(unusual shape but it looks awesome),"The Strada"which looks fab
Sadly it appears the project has been cancelled/mothballed due to the economic situation. There's been no official announcement, but inside sources have hinted that the project is on hold for at least the next 5 years :-(
Really??? I work in the building next door and the work on site seems to be pretty constant... although today was a bit slow, what with the protests/riots surrounding us!
I hope you're able to achieve the idea of a SSC-YouTube-channel. It would be awesome to expand the community that way and convey some urban aspects and entertainment to the populace.
Let's just do it! ;)

It's "on hold" for the time being. Maybe not cancelled altogether, but certainly delayed for at least the next couple of years.

@wjfox2006 It's not on hold, it will be completed a year later than planned for the olympics. Construction is due to restart in July 2010.

Unfortunately, Paris is getting the tallest building in Western Europe, a bit taller than the Shard. Damn. -_-
