That happened to me once, I just restarted it and it was fine. That sucks though i've had mine since December of 2006 and I haven't had any problems with it at all.
you don no men 360 and ps3 are both great systems with flaws but 360 still does have great releases fable 2 for example and the games from 2007 where good enough so no system fighting plus ps3 got nothin good from late 06 to almost 07 except for multi system game

PS3s primary processor is more powerful than the 360s. However the 360 has a more powerful graphics processor. The biggest reason why games look better on the 360 is because its so damn difficult for developers to take advantage of the PS3s power. Same thing happened with the Saturn.

Not only does you PS3 not work, your on the verge of having a none working Xbox 360 by putting it under your PS3 wich creates an extreme amount of heat.
If you do not have warranty with you PS3 wich you probably dont your going to have to crack open you PS3 and fix it yourself by taking apart your blue-ray disk drive and unjamming the motor that pushes the disks in and out or pay somebody to do it for you.
it sounds like the mechanism that the laser runs along (it runs along two long screw like things) are slipping so it can read them properly, this problem is easy to fix on a ps2 but i dont know about ps3 and i wouldnt risk voiding your warranty, just send it back

the realese belt is broken so the ps3 cant lower the disc or give it back you have to call sony and ask for it to be repaired or if they cant repair it they will take all of the data on your hard drive and put it on to a new one and give you a new machine ( i had the same problem and they fixed it with in 4 days of me sending it to them).

it sound like the motor that runs the laser arm to move to be able to read disks its ither snapped or its not sat in properly and its catching and i have no worry for u. you have got the ps3 on top of the 360 wich is gonna burn well up with heat 360 will be fucked next iv got a ps3 and 360 but not on top of each other how stupid are u??? allso pete555r5 stfu only reason u say 360 ps3 is shit cause u cant afford 1

Not only does you PS3 not work, your on the verge of having a none working Xbox 360 by putting it under your PS3 wich creates an extreme amount of heat.
If you do not have warranty with you PS3 wich you probably dont your going to have to crack open you PS3 and fix it yourself by taking apart your blue-ray disk drive and unjamming the motor that pushes the disks in and out or pay somebody to do it for you.

it sounds like the mechanism that the laser runs along (it runs along two long screw like things) are slipping so it can read them properly, this problem is easy to fix on a ps2 but i dont know about ps3 and i wouldnt risk voiding your warranty, just send it back
