In Skopije specificly there was a survey wether the population wanted to join in. And they did join the Bulgarian exzarchy because many of the people that were living there were bulgarians. Check it in the books if you want. That's something even macedonian historians haven't explained this whole thing.

Before WW2 everything in our political projects included uniting the Macedonian bulgarian region with Bulgaria.Everything-most politicians came form that region and used their power to work for that.Hitler was the only 1 who promised us Macedonia-that's why Bulgaria joined the pact,stupid.

My Great grandfather talked about how since 1876 the bolgarians were just as devious as the gayreeks & Srbs.
He even suggested how the Macedonians regret asking for help from their neighbouring nations. He added that the Ottomans were in Macedonia for over 500 years. My grandfather is still alive today, he is 88 years old and he knows what he was fighting for. And he knows what were the comunists and tito fighting against, and that was independent macedonia as i wrote before. And my grand grand father and mother were in 1903 fighting for the samo cause in the Ilinden uprising. So, pleace dont talk about things you hear from other people that whant to distort history!!!!!

I should admit that I'm surprised of the lack of Macedonists' responses to this movie!
Looks like when the facts talk -- even the dumbest Macedonists have nothing to say.
They anyway only say empty, unproven words and lies that cannot fight against any historical evidences...
Or may be the rulers of Macedonia stopped the Internet over there... :-)
