@PivotsPCgaming Technically it's a Type 56 with a shortened handguard and a folding stock. At least I'm only saying that because it said "Chinese AK-47 model", and their main Kalashinkov-based rifle is the Type-56.
@PS3fudgenuggets The AK-74M, AK-74, AKM-74, AKS-74M (and many more) are all chambered for the 5.45X39 round which has less recoil than the heavy 7.62X39 , the AK's that are chambered for 5.45X39 all have a straighter magazine than the ones chambered for the 7.62X39
there are WAYYY more variants of the AK than 2 (like you said)
so next time before you call someone "stoopid" educate yourself unless you wan't look like a total idiot (like now)
This is an ak-74u that shoots the 5.45 round not an ak-47 modified that still shoots the 7.62 round like the video says, I know this because I am a Call of Duty gun expert!
@bf2lover42 everyone knows that there is NO such thing as a "AK-74u or a AK-47U" the correct term would be "AKS" ie "AKS-74u" because all of them have folding stocks, which is represented by the "s"
@daonejorge actually people saying there is no ak-74u usually just take it from other people. but an ak-74u is completely possible and has been made but it has not been commercial made so it won't be mentioned on any production streams but it is very possible to make one without a S stock shooting a para
@daonejorge Ahah, I was in a period of "inertia", if you know what I mean, and researched about it. Some people here on teh interwebs call them Krinkovs!
@ALXist Not Really, It's the same as your name being the same in any language. No matter what, It will be an AKS-74u in any language. Either way this in not a 74, it is a modified Chinese AK-47
Oh it's chinese i see and modified . I've seen a video here though of a similiar weapon that had a 74 type folding stock but fired 7.62 and it was from a factory. If I remember correctly from romania ?
Don't trust games like cod, they change guns to suit their ideas and they "balance" them for multiplayer. This gun is romanian ? ak47su kirunkov or something like that since the aks74u was never made in 7.62 to my knowledge..
@motlencore89 Well the man says it's chinese, so.. Could be..... I can't stand the people here that are saying it's a 74.. It's clearly chambered in x39.
@Mugen123456789 no you don't understand. Kids go around thinking they know a lot about guns cause they play a certain game, they think they know everything.
@Gunluver1 in cod it shows the aks74u with a 7.62 mag, gotta hate video games. Either way though this vid was cool, did you carry that with you in the field?
5.45 is the standard Russian rifle round -as chambered in the AK-74. basically it's a high velocity .22 much like our 5.56/.223
the much older AK- 47 fires a 7.62x39mm round.
The Ak47 and Ak74 LOOK allot alike - and in fact they are virtually the same gun - the mags for the 74' are straighter, and the internal parts are downsized for the smaller round - but trust me... the 5.45x39 does exist. and is actually quite common where ever AKs are found in the field.
yep. it's a .22 cal 45-62 grain slug doing around 3200 feet per second at the muzzle. (as opposed to the .22 long rifle which is at 25 to 45 grain slug doing 1100 to 1400 feet per second at the muzzle)
since it is a spitzer point (pointy) bullet it does some nasty things when it strikes a fluid medium (ie: flesh) with that extra velocity... it tends to tumble end for end in flesh and fragment causing a much larger wound track then would be expected.
@Gunluver1 They don't even know the first thing about ballistics and caliber. They'd just be like, "OMGZ ITZ A AK74U DAT SHOOTS A SUBMASHEEN GUN BOOLET CUZ EEZ A SUBMASHEENGUN
@Gunluver1 "ppl who think this shoots the 5.45 round are people who play call of duty..and know nothing about firearms."... call of duty gamers doesnt even kno what 5.45 looks like..
@Gunluver1 Okay well, from Nam up to now, and I thought befor that it was 30-06 , cause theM1 Garand and BAR shot it originally ,or was the BAR origanally chambered for 30 cal?
No you're all wrong goddamn it! It's not an AKS74U, it's a Yugo m92. You can tell from the underfolder stock, short barrell with full-length hand guards, and the 7.62 chambering (you can tell from the mag).
Yeah, I hate how kids think they know something about guns because they play Modern Warfare. Now the Barret M82 has to be known as a "Barret 50 cal!" But nice AK!
@Owned123fable the AK-74 has a specific inner design.......this is an AK-47, Chinese made and modified with a shorter barrel.......read the description...
Allright guys.... it is a aks-74u!!!! damn it!!! it chambers a 5.45by39mm round . it is a russain paratrooper weapon. translation.....AK everyone knows what that means and S -- So skladnym prikladom (side-folding stock)
U -- ukorochenniy (shortened). so there. it sounds that way because it has a shorter barrel 8.3in. and the recoil is heavy thats why it has that bell shaped compensater. however it doesnt help much. any questions?
@Raptor1Delta Your facts are correct, except the part you call this gun a 74. Simply not true. I'm only adding on to what others have said. Don't you think you're wrong?
@Raptor1Delta Your so far off, it's quite funny. You seem to of pretty much made up all these conclusions in your head that are all false about this particular rifle.
What doyou think the "K" in an AK is for dude? Its for Kalishnakov. AK is short for Avtomat Kalishnakov which basically translates to Kalisnakovs Automatic Rifle. That rifle is an AKS-74U.
Well, since there are currently about 20 countries that make an AK variant in about 60-70 total different forms or models, you do have to be somewhat specific. Just "He has an AK" is a pretty damn general term. Otherwise you'll get the wrong caliber or wrong gun entirely.
He's right, that is a 7.62X39mm round that Krink is firing. You can tell by the sharper curve of the mag and the much deeper sound of the round. Recoil is like a 7.62 as well.
k what does the "X39" mean?, cuz i see it on the 9mm when i go to the range, it says "9x19" whats it mean?, i know the first number is the caliber, but whats the second?
is that a normal aK 74 or an AKS 74, or am i just being wrong and its something else
