  • it sounds like a braking truck, when it shifts gears

  • What exhaust system is on this?

  • nice nature sound

  • @prutal000 Are you on something mate!!! The focus ST is lame get yourself a mk2 leon cupra k1. Remap gets 300bhp for £500 and on to 360bhp with Exhaust, intake, fuel pump, intercooler.

Theres no way an ST can get any where near that!!!

  • @Robcupra360 im afraid your wrong!

realy does depend on how much u want to spend!

by the way l33ghx nice car sounds sweeter!!

  • @vincesplc Im clearly not wrong!!!! The guy i was answering was talking about ST been the best in this paticular PRICE class when it clearly is inferior to the Cupra/ed30 k04 turbod 2.0tfsi cars.

And the same goes for tuning the ST aswell, you'd have to be big turboing it to get any where near a stage 2+ Cupra/Gti Edition 30 which would cost ££££. Pounds that id be spending on an Audi S3 and getting that to stage 2+. imo the ST is pretty average in this price class.

  • @Robcupra360 the focus st is a far better looking car uve got your opinion ive got mine as for tunning yes the cupra will tune cheaper dont make it a better car pal!

  • @vincesplc standard vs standard theres not alot init but when tuned the Cupra is in a completely different league ive come up against so many on the 1/4mile and none have got within a second of me and that includes pumabuild st350's aswell.

Ive murdered 2 420bhp mk2 focus RS's by nearly a second aswell one was also developed by pumabuild or GGR i think.

Youve obviously not been in a well well sorted Cupra/GTi edition 30 because there leagues apart when tuned and that is a FACT!!!

  • @Robcupra360 It's not just about speed and 1/4 mile times, it's also about the way a car drive's, the focus ST is supposed to be a good all round car that you can drive anywhere in comfort and take on a track every once in a while, the Cupra is more of a "track orientated" car.

Dont want to cause an arguement.... just giving my two cents

  • @RSROBXR2 Fair enough, but so is the Cupra, thats what a hothatch is all about, having a blast around a track and busing the kids to school, it just so happens a Cupra tunes better than a ST for instence he has 300bhp and i have 360bhp for the same money. But is no way more undrivable than when it was standard

Track orientated car would be a megane r26.r with r888's and roll cage as standard ;-).

  • @Robcupra360 So you bought the cupra on the fact that it tune's better?

Each to their own oppinion, but i buy a car for what i like about... not the way it tune's, like i think the focus look's and sound's better than the cupra, i can't comment on the way they drive because ive never driven either of them.. but i have heard nothing but good review's on the way the focus drive's and i used to drive a mk1 focus and that was really nice to drive and handled amazingly for a standard hatchback.

  • @RSROBXR2 No i didnt buy the cupra on the fact it tunes better, it was a factor though and the fact it has a good chassis underneath it (mk5 golf chassis) and 5 doors and a decent size boot and looks good.

Dont try an gudge me on what i look for in a car. The fact you havnt driven either and going by reviews is comical. You carnt judge a car by just reviews you have to at least drive them both so please keep your opinions to yourself until you have!!!

  • @Robcupra360 Going by review's is comical?? lol wtf, i CAN judge a car without driving it... like this: 1. look at a car 2. say hmmm that's nice and 3. there you go ive just judged a car without driving it lol.

What about concourse judge's, do they get to drive the car before judging?... no.

Also in my first comment, i stated that i did not want this to turn into an arguement and it clearly has, so let's leave it there and carry on with our live's.

  • @RSROBXR2 Learn to read pal. I said dont judge ME on what i look for in a car!

Concourse judges arnt spending £20k on a car are they, so thats completely irrelavant. You said its about the way a car drives and started claiming the Cupra was more for the track and the focus the better all rounder just by reading reviews. You really have to drive both to make your own mind up.

The Cupra is not a track orientated car i no, i used to own one as per the username.

  • @Robcupra360 Learn to read? me? lol, read your comment again, you clearly wrote: you can't judge a car by just reviews, you have to atleast drive them.

That's what i was replying to, not the "don't judge me on what i look for in a car" comment.

  • @Robcupra360 i had an 03 cupra r with around 320 bhp, fast as hell but felt unsafe all the time. it was very rattly after a while but did sound amazing. been for a ride in a friends st (310 bhp) today and it felt so much more solid and "safe" the brembos on the leon were better but i liked the feel of the st, and the leather recros and infact whole interior in the st was better. im going to buy it off him i think! big respect to both cars but been there and done the cupra thing.

  • @davehayes2204 Thats fair enough pal, ive never actualy driven a mk1 but from what i here from people that have owned both the mk1 and mk2 leon cupras the mk2 is a big improvment as youd expect. Good luck with the st anyway.

  • @Robcupra360 ahh the mk 2 cupra. the issues i had with the mk 1 ( none really it was one hell of a machine and i regret selling it) were only the build quality. nothing bad just rattles etc. have been addressed in the mk2. much better build quality. ive only driven a standard one and for a short while. it felt soft or dumbed down but thats the case for any standard car that you have driven a modded version of. the st felt raw like fast fords used to be.

  • @Robcupra360 i dont doubt for one second that the leon with the same money ploughed in to it would wipe the floor with the st. german craftsmanship is by far superior to that of any ford. ive never owned a ford and always said i wouldnt, but the st ( in its highly modified form) has hit a soft spot with me. i was shocked by the raw power and the handling was great considering 300+ bhp through the front wheels in any car is a dodgy concept! ill never forget my cupra, it was special.

  • Is it foggy?

  • wierd question i know but, how do dumpvalves work ? is it when you reach so many rpm`s or when the clutch is dipped..thanks and good vid

  • FIT ST mate, wot Dump valve is that and duz it put on any dashboard warning lights? Im thinking of puting 1 on mine. Love the vid man.

  • m8 iv sin ya 3 vids of ya car its nice

keep up ya gud modding :P

  • Oh the new cars will be good, they just wont be tuned like the cossies are.....theres only so much you can put though the front wheels :)

  • Loverly car and sound, would of had an ST myself if there wasn't FWD...damn ford..

Ill be sticking with me cossie until ford pull a finget out and release a 4X4 fast ford...

  • can you get a focus st in the states?

  • no sorry mate you cant.

  • But you can get the same engine in the Volvo C30 and the S60. Its called the 2.5t or on the Ford line, the Duratec 2.5

  • Hey, nice car.

    Just a couple of questions

    1. what's the hp rate on your car?

    2. ECU remap, where did you get it. I'm thinking about dreamscience for my car, but i don't know how good it really is.

    Thanks and congrats again

  • go for a 300bhp conversion and have bluefin ;)

  • what exhaust setup u running?

  • did you have all thhis done in puma build in birminham? real nice sound! just bought the new 08 model. waiting on delivery at the moment.

  • gives him a ...pro race car sound...

  • thanks for your comments

  • thats a wicked car ,but not chuffed with the dump valve ide take it off

  • hey man, ur car catched a cold. :)))

  • nice snarl! love those cars!

  • thanks

  • well done you have a dump valve! we hear you!

  • thats what im trying to tell ppl! i only have a 1.6 52 reg focus but there still the best cars in the price bracket !

  • That car sounds mean!

    Focus 4eva

  • thanks mate

  • javipolanc pregunta en ingles q sino no se enteran jaja, dicen q es una valvula collins y que vale 130 libras y que la instalas en media hora

  • how much was it to chip ur st

  • £500 ECU REMAP.

  • when driving around town at normal speeds, does this upgrade bring down your mpg?

  • Which Upgrade?- the Ecu Remap works better than a superchip as its calculated on fuel and set up accordingly, get more torque lower down and better response from throttle.

  • what have u actually had done to your focus?

  • ecu remap- front mounted intercooler- stright through exhaust, de-cat pipe- collins motorsport dump valve-k&n filter and a little secret mod........ watch out for next vid!! planning on doing a sick video once the roads aint as slippy!!!

  • nice its perfect part from its not orange

  • It does sound very nice. I have an st2, is it modded in any way apart from chipped and the dup valve ?

  • hola! ¿Cual es el kit de montaje para la valvula que usas? ¿o donde lo has comprado? gracias

  • I TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!!

  • 130 Is a good price.

    Looks like Bradfeild in Reading?

    Am i right

  • NO WARWICKSHIRE AREA

  • that was including fitting, which on the ST takes 30mins-40mins, anyways £130 is nothing really

  • That sounds ace! Kinda like a HKS SSQV.

Love the exhaust note too. Nice car :)

  • was only £130 fitted!!!! at PUMABUILD the best ford tuning people!!!
