Hi, i used a Vixen GP with rough polar alignment to track , expoure was 30sec per frame and 17 frames were captured .
I think i only used 10 frames for the bright core .

Orion is in the southwest at around 09.00 pm .
If you wait another hour the constelation orion will be more in the west and ready to set , but you'll have darker skies .

did u use refractor or reflector?
I used a William Optics ZS 80FD .
That's a refractor .
why is the orion nebula black n white?
The camera is used (DMK 21af04)is a bw camera .
These camera's are more sensitive in low light then the color version .
Wow that was with a 80mm scope? Which scope and magnification did u use?

Technically speaking no magnification was used .
The focal legnth of this scope is 550mm so this is comparable to a long telelens .
Field of view of the stacked result is about a half moon .
Thanks for the comments .
Antares i tried to answer you question twice , but it seems that my respons didn't appeared .
Like Chris said registax is free , but the response bow won't taken any links so you gonna have to google it .
