Both countries broke a medal record - Canada got the most gold medals in winter Olympic history, and USA got the most overall medals in winter Olympic history. Both countries had their best winter Olympics ever....so people should just leave it at that.

I've seen a lot of Americans and Canadians arguing and bitching at each other on YouTube over who truly "pwned" the Olympics. Both countries broke a medal record - Canada got the most gold medals in winter Olympic history, and USA got the most overall medals in winter Olympic history. Both countries had their best winter Olympics ever....so people should just leave it at that.

Every Olympics I just put the names of all the coolest countries into a hat, and pick one at random to support.
This Olympics, Viva el Mexico! I supported the two Mexican Olympic Skiers! We did nothing of merit!
Last Olympics, Latvia! We kicked US ass in Women's Beach Volleyball! And did nothing else remarkable.
Oh well, it's fun supporting random teams!

No denying that hockey is the MAIN event of the Winter Olympics, and whether or not you 'care' about it is irrelevent! Hockey is big in a lot of the northern states anyways, so.....WOOT! Also, USA is one of the FEW countries who rank via overall count--majority rank by number of gold. That's right!
