I cannot get this out of my head. Clearly the best remedy is to listen to it over and over.
...maybe I should actually WATCH Eureka Seven, as I'm writing a mecha thing driven by romance, and this is similar in that regard (albeit requiring Renton to be replaced with a French Yoko), and it's more focused on that than hurtling through plot or blowing crap up.
And I like what I see in the fighting style and would like mine to be envisioned like that as well.
@NegativeSquad Fair warning. It takes about 26 episodes for Renton to stop being a weenie and start manning up. I find him to be at a believable level of lame during that stretch, but there's always the chance that he might annoy the carp out of you.
And to continue the comparison with my own story, both of them have protagonists who just don't want to fight (granted, my person is that way because her giant robot REALLY doesn't like her), and often the only practical solution is running away like a wimp.
...of course this would be a more apt comparison if Eureka stuck with being Nirvash's pilot as aforementioned protagonist is a loli-fied Rei, but still.
