This song was originally by the Johnny Burnet Trio from the 1950's, WAAAY before the Yardbirds. It's defintitley from the time when drummers played like that and guitarists played like they did. I love it.
Well obviously, but the lyrics they are singing are the ones The Yardbirds wrote for their appearance in 'Blow-Up, in which they reworked 'Train'', so they're actually playing 'Stroll On', NOT 'The Train Kept A-Rollin'. It's a subtle difference for sure, but true.
Ya know....I can't tell if this is great or if it sucks. LOL. The drummer, despite his enthusiasm on the kit, needs some work. The singer is pretty weak, but it kinda rocks like that. It almost sounds as if it's Blue Cheer covering the song in certain parts. Good heavy SLOPPY psychedelia.
aerosmith has also done this.

This is actually a cover of 'Stroll On', The Yardbirds' reworking of 'Train...' as heard in 'Blow-Up'.
It definitely doesn't "suck" and I personally reckon the drummer is ace...
