Also a little advice if you're doing test benching... don't do it in the case, put the mobo on some wood/cardboard or something non electrically conducive. It'll make installation of coolers a lot easier... and on that, most people usually put the cooler on BEFORE they but the mobo in the case.
also, socket 462 as you call it is in fact socket a :) that clip is for socket 478. i have it on a celeron e3200. 33 celsius idle, 45 degrees 100% load.

So Ive had to order a new bracket from hong kong.

doesnt fit in 12 cm cases. mine has 13 cm height and it is 1,5 mm higher, so the case is a little deformed by the cooler.
