Danny is great for the fact that I can hear such a great fusion of styles in his composition. John Bonham, Peart, tribal drumming, some recent Thomas Haake-esque additions, and of course Tony Williams, Billy Cobham, and a good integration of fusion influence overall. Plus he hits the drums like a motherfucker and he knows the value of tuning the drums properly more than most anyone in the mainstream these days. Great tone.
