  • When I was a student, there was no greek system or ROTC or competitive baseball or football teams. I never met anyone that wanted "that element" in such a special place as Santa Cruz.

    I went on to work at the University of Washington as the International Studies Exchange Specialist. The Greeks and ROTC and competitive Football team were central there. I appreciated UCSC students for making such a strong statement in what the students truly wanted in their college experience.
