The Church of God (Cleveland, TN) never endorsed snake handling. In the early years there was a division over the issue. Those who practiced it broke off from the organization.

My Mammaw grew up in a snake handeling Church ,and some of my uncles would preach snake handeling. The people that you see here anre not worshiping this snake,but it is a test of Faith for some of them, the Bible say's not to judge , so for the peole who are saying thing's about these Holines people, God is there only judge!! I personally don't handle snakes,but I wish that we could get the Church moving,and trust God enough that a snake would not bite us!!

My great grandmother went to many snake churches, my uncle who became a pentecostal preacher was saved in one. She didn't handle them but knew the spirit. What has happen to all the spirit filled churches that I knew as a little girl? I remember when the spirit would be so strong the tears would run down my face when I was only 5 or 6 yrs old. Well churches have been watered down with the world.Everything is at our finger tips and instead of trusting God, we trust in the system and the physical being.The church is spoiled and has left it's roots.This is for all churchs in Christ, no one witness to the people in the streets anymore, we just go to the church every sunday,shout and forget about the unsaved people in the world.We're on our own agenda and God is in the background and if he's not there, you don't feel him like you use to.

People anxious to get home to TV, What has happened...Video games, cel phone messaging, etc. For the spirit to move we must once again tarry around the alter and seek the Holy Spirit and He will glady fall on us again.
