I was a young teenager........the time of the Vietnam war protestors. This is really a long time ago. This takes me back to the "good old days", as my hair was long.
one of the all time great instrumentals of the seventies.takes me back to the local skating rink where this was the most requested tune to skate to. really uplifting feel good tune.
Let's say there were a few "LARGER THAN LIFE" characters,in our dancehall who no matter if they were on the dancefloor,or sitting in the corner,You were always next to them!!!
@john111257 Hi john111257, I think this track is brilliant but you say you like the B side what was on the B side, this takes me back to dancing to it in the local dicso's good old days.
I remember this as one of the best pop instrumentals of the 70's. In the summer a fair used to come to Longford park, when the rides began to speed up and this was playing, and the smell of candy floss on the hot summer air, the feeling was electric. A special time and a great tune.
This song first appeared on the B-side of Wind's (featuring Tony Orlando on lead vocals) "Make Believe." when the single was sent to the UK DJs accidently played the wrong side of the single and what do ya know.... LOL It Topped the charts there......
Family holiday 1970 in Wareham, Dorset. I was 11 when I heard this on a bubble front jukebox and I just loved the harmonica sound. My cousins and I played it, along with Pocorn, American Woman and Resurrection Shuffle, over and over for the entire week. Good to hear it again. B-)
This song was special. It was born simply special. Just and exactly in 1969 could be born. Imagine this lil' musical gem if it had be born today: Retards, crappa-rappa, gangsta crap, lipsynshittyn, CAD-composed afro-american noise, nose-powder sinthetisers, .....
Twisted wheel!!!! top of the town !!!! I used to have to make out I was stopping at my mates house & He would do the same the we would stop out all night and get back at around 10 on sunday morning our other mate Robwas18 and had a car (Ford Anglia) so he would get us up to manchester we where only 14 at the time but nearly 6 ft tall and we used to pencil in the bum fluff on our upper lips!!!
Also used to go to the top of the worls stafford great nights !
@bluesy365a great times The top of the town was brilliant I 'm presuming we're talking below spin a disc record shop on Deansgate! Rowntrees and the Jungfrau
@stoneroller1 Es verdad!! Temazo este ¿No te parece? Bailable ciento por cientoEn Argentina este tema se identificó muchisimo con el futbol profesional.
reminds me of when i worked and traveled the northwest of england on cubbins's disco speedway, inthe late 70s to mid 80s!

Music from 70´S was really better than now .....And this music was considered only Disco !!! But Disco´s were Disco´s and We Were The Best !!!
stoneroller1 9 months ago
@stoneroller1
It was played in many a Disco, in the 70's,But although not a Disco hit,It sure was a floor filler.
Such a pity We don't hear Instrumentals in Today,s charts.

Een echte instrumentale klassieker.... dat sfeertje, zàààààlig, die mag op elke jukebox gezet worden.
Or; A real instrumental classic. A great jukebox song as well. Should be on every jukebox filled with classics!

Exactly my friend.
A few years ago I was driving a coachload of schoolkids and this happened to come on the radio,It was the quietest they had been, the whole journey
After it finished, the kids asked if I could play it again,Not realising it wasn,t on tape or CD.
Even the two teachers who were with them had not heard it before and asked how they could get a copy.
