  • They have a breakout box now, maybe they can send you one for free...!!??

  • suckie

  • I thought DI's were used to change LINE level to MIC level.

  • @charlieplatnum exactly, since the cheap breakout cable replace twice by apogee and 1/4 input don't work, tha's why i use a DI

  • wird setup

  • because the fucking apogee one 1/4 jack does not work and i had to replace twice with apogee this interface sucks men

  • @rickytrix it obviously doesn't suck if its a world renown interface, your the only one I've seen having problems. maybe you don't understand how too use it?

  • @seifs4 prefer firewire interfaces

  • @rickytrix do you still have it? maybe it just took some more reading, alot of people just go into using stuff now a days and forget that the producers made instructions for a reason......

  • @seifs4 nope i talked to apogee and they said the unit was not working properly and i got a full refund, this was for use on the go, but since i am familiar with presonus fire pod, i just got a fire studio mobile, and works way better.

  • why the fuck are you using a di box?! just plug into your apogee or plug a mic and mic your cab.

  • Direct boxes are made for plugging into mixing boards and P.A. systems when you DON'T USE A GUITAR AMP. You need to just plug your guitar directly into your Apogee with a QUALITY SHIELDED INSTRUMENT CABLE, or stick a microphone plugged into your Apogee up to your amps speaker to capture the tone of your amp. Those dinky little cables I see you using are never shielded well, which could be why you're picking up the the radio.

  • @schechead also tried with out the DI and other guitar i have monster cables and same problem, i will sell the apogee

  • why do you use a direct box to record guitar? you can plug straight in...

    no di needed

  • @bchamorro because di boxes change the signal to match a guitar's impedance. That's PARTIALLY why a lot of software amplifiers never really have a good dynamic response. The tone is there, but the feel isn't. Although, the new GTR3 update and Overload TH2 that just came out do a goddamn amazing job at capturing the real feel and tone of the amps modeled. The ONE is cheap, I wouldn't imagine it having matched impedance or good a/d/a converters.

  • The interference problem is down to your DI not your apogee when you turn the Ground off it is picking up the radio station because your device is not grounded so it picks up unwanted interferance. it is all to do with your DI box why use the DI box when you can plug your guitar straight into the 1/4" jack on the apogee and your signal seems to be coming in a bit too loud

  • @anthonyhowie i have used it with out the DI and the same thign the Nosise is the same, got another interface but i still ahve the apogee and don't use it anymore

  • guitar signal is to hot.

  • @rickytrix You're signal is too hot because you're using the DI incorrectly. They are used for plugging a guitar into a mixing board or PA system when you don't have an amp. If you like the tone of your amp, put a microphone in front of a speaker, plug the mic into your Apogee, and record that way, or plug your guitar directly into your Apogee and use the effects in your recording program to pull the tone you want. How do you have your amp plugged into the DI in this video?

  • Why did you want to use direct box?
