I was able to get used to Carson not being their but then to kill Weir off soon after seemed unrealistic and pointless; there was no reason to get rid of her; the show never quite felt the same way since she left; while I liked Tapping and Samantha Carter, she was military and it just didn't seem right like she really didn't fit in there; Woolsey in season 5 brought a little bit of that civilian leadership mentality back that Weir had but he was still too much of a by the book leadership charac

When you look back, this show has had a lot of characters come and go. I really miss Elizabeth Weir (when played by Torri Higginson) and Ford, before he went all nuts.
