Luckily Placebo managed not to be dragged into the whole britpop movement unlike Supergrass or The Bluetones(nice acts though). I can remember good bands like Ash, Idlewild, Marion being around at that time with kind of similar guitar sound.

this video is totally awesome! *__* i wonder how they do the under water scenes, i read somewhere that brian was crying during the making of this vid because the water was very cold :3 awww, poor babies :c i miss videos like this, so much better than all these bright lights, ashtray hearts, for what it's worth..either way, what a great band they were! they still are, but it's not the same :c

I went to see 'em a few months back and they didn't even play one song from their first album. It's important to evolve but when the past is this good they shouldn't ignore. Love every song on their debut album

There are a lot of artists that just chance after fame. Even their third doesn't sound or feel like their first two, but that was the first album (BBM) I had the chance to see them live. I didn't check out Battle for the Sun or Sleeping with Ghosts, but i did pick up Meds and they sound great on it. I think Meds at least has the spirit of the first two in mind.

The band I'm in tried to recreate this for a media study project, we failed rather epicly... We had everything sorted, then some douche had to go and switch my guitar on whilst us and it were submerged.. Worst pain E-V-E-R T^T .
