  • Seth Rudestky? Anybody? Nobody?

  • I love Bea Arthur, she is my favorite of the GG. She can definitely carry a tune, but that doesn't make a person a great singer. Sorry Bea! Love ya!

  • Killin me softly, Bea Arthur.

  • Shes was great in everything she did.. God Bless........

  • You'd have to be out of your mind to rain on Bea Arthur's parade.

  • @JerseyBob86 LMAO that made my night lol

  • no body, no no body....is gonna rain on my DUN DUN DADUDNDAAAA conductor, the song is called dont rain on my PARADE.

  • If I were a raincloud, I'd be TERRIFIED.

  • The orchestra will get you for that Bea.

  • love this

  • @sweeney60 yes its so perfect how the orchestra comes in an hour early and cuts of the last word.

  • Love her. But she stinks

  • @hardrich2

well shes mocking barbra, not trying to be good.

  • @sweeney60 That doesn't come across

  • She would make the best Dolly Levy ever!!!

  • Watch the Seth Rudetsky deconstruction of this! It is so funny and does not disprespect Bea in anyway. It's just quite funny. :)

  • @yakoleen

I agree, and I watched this with him in mind. I cracked up laughing at the end of this clip.

  • Pure homo camp.

  • Bea could sing. I love her voice. RIP Bea

  • Only Bea could take one of Barbra's signature songs and literally make it her own. 30 something years later at the Tonys, Lea Michele has just performed this. I think Lea is a wonderful singer who will be on stage/screen for years but I just love this Bea-Sass version. Lea was just trying and stretching too hard for the Barbra phrasing IMO and when you do that, your always going to coming (a close) second best. Bea wisely did her own thing with it. RIP Bea - one of the greats in many fields!

  • @SassySuzi You're 100% correct.

  • AHHAHAHAHHAHAHA!

  • She'd make a great Ursula.

  • @kevisaurus you know that role was originally written for her, right?

  • @kevisaurus

Oh, lol, this is the deconstruction Seth Rudensky was talking about with Bea being interupted by the conductor at the end. lol

  • @kevisaurus Actually, the role of Ursula was created for Bea Arthur, but she was occupied with the Golden Girls at the time.

  • @omarinem Really? I never knew that...thanks for the info! =)

  • @DorisDayFanatic You're welcome :)

  • Such an amazing share! Thank you so much! Maybe not her best vocals, but above all she is a performer and she did so well. Full of Bea-Sass as DivaBehavior said and cue-stepping aside, so great!

  • What a shame the conductor tampled her last line. :( Rest In Peace Bea. We will miss you.

  • And yet it rained on her parade. I wish the conductor wouldn't have rushed!

  • Thank you SO much! I have been dying to see this. Well worth the wait. Bea had such good instincts. Why they temporarily failed her here is a mystery. She had to know she couldn't pull this off (even without the conductor stepping on her line). A rare misstep for a brilliant performer.

  • So it wasn't her best work. Still, you have to admit that it's damn hilarious :) What a great woman she was.

  • Yes and Yes! :)

  • Actually, the more I watch this, the more I enjoy how much Bea-Sass she brings to this. At 1:00, you can tell this is not a woman who likes to be messed with.

  • Nah, it totally works. The producers prolly picked it for her, and she didn't have a choice. And she works it with that Diva-ness.
