Looks like the pole (base) entered the front, to the left or drivers side, ripped though the middle of the car at an angle, exiting the car at the right rear quarter panel. The rear axle/wheels and bumper still attached to the whole passenger side of the car, upside down.
The drivers side seems to be obliterated,save for the rear bumper.
It may have hit a different pole, landing next to this one.

Do the research. You really only experience high winds more than average downtown because of the wind tunnels the buildings create. Now before or during a storm then you get some wind, but I've been to Kansas and this doesn't compare.

What's sad is that people think driving very fast is fun, but the faster you drive, the more of a chance that this could be you. The driver probably thought he was a good driver too. You just never know what could happen.
