  • you made me laugh at 1:05 that's a weird letter i know ^^

it was funny last time i was in Denmark, this young girl wanted to practise our alphabets together.. and she was totally and i mean totally upset when she found out that the Dutch are missing 3 letters å æ ø. she was like you guys are weird ^^

  • Thank you, you just saved my life!!!

  • hi Ditte.thats really great vids..i just put up for some people asia who need to learn some danish.

    thumbs up m8

  • haha love how you say "WEIRD LANGUAGE" everytime !

  • @madmat13 Yeah Ditte is funny.

and very informativ..but Dansk Danish is realle wierd.

but what, asia people turn it all around and say (translated to english)

    bathroom i go

but you say, i go to the bathroom

so there`s also a little hurdle there..but funny and good video.

  • lys like luz like in spanish :)

  • I would never be able to make this kind of video. Once I'm in english mode I mess up the danish words. :)

  • Im trying to learn japanese right now and i thats much harder. danish is pretty easy

  • Im german and the only reason im here is to learn my gfs native language

  • In a 'fairy tale story-book', named- 'Serendipity´s Matterhorn', which I wrote in 2011, I spoke of a mysterious 'good witch' named 'Frau Helle', and after watching this video, concluded that this Danish girl fits my idea of what 'Frau Helle' could have been like; that´s the reason for having added this 'class' to my collection of favorites. Enjoy, and learn a little Danish!

  • omg a wild snorlax has appeared! xD

  • i bet finnish is harder than danish because swedish/norwegian/danish sound almost the same :D

yritä siinä puhua norjaa saatana kun tanskassa ollaan :D

  • @Mutumaniac Yes, I've heard that Finnish is harder than Danish. I definitely don't think Danish is harder. I mean, look at Japanese, Cantonese, and Arabic. Oo I'm learning Danish (jeg er amerikaner) and yeah it's difficult, but not as much as Finnish, Estonian, Japanese, Chinese, etc.

  • You don't see What's the clock :P You say What's the time haha.

  • Well Danish pronounciation is the hardest in the world, but the grammar has been proven one of the easiest :)

  • 1:02 XD haha it's not a weird letter, i have lived with Æ Ø Å in all my 15 years :D

  • Danish aint hard at all. Atleast not for Danish people.

  • why teach useless words, teach better things that you can actually use in life, like ``i don`t speak danish well,`` or ``i need help,`` not you`re sweet!

  • is not a language is a throat malfuntion

  • YES WE HAVE THE MOST DIFFICULT WORDS IN THE WORLD!

  • I live In Denmark and when u are born there, its easy. Im gonna make a video where you Can ask about enything :-) its fun

  • "The watch is"? I don't know this idiom

  • @TheSuperBearfoot She failed. She meant What's the time hahaha. Yeah she did lots of errors :P

  • this Danish witch has boobs !

  • I don't think Danish is the hardest language in the world, but I love it, though. I'm gonna move to Denmark when I grow up :)!

  • why do you wanna teach this language if you think it's weird?

  • Better you learn Norwegian. It's almost exactly the same, but we are not born with a potatoe in our throats..:)

  • @gydur1 And all the Norwegians love the Danes. They are all that we want to be, but that our authorities do not allow us to...).

  • hahahaha... danglish accent comes with all the pints she's been drinking!

  • I've heard that spoken Danish sounds like Norwegian with the proverbial hot potato in your mouth. I've used your videos to enhance my Danish instruction, and know the basics well enough. The only negativity is it's quite difficult to find native Danish speakers to practice speaking to, make mistakes, and learn from those mistakes. Still I find it fun to learn the language of Majken Poulsen and Peter Schmeichel, both idols to me. Ønske mig held og lykke!

  • Du er da godt nok underlig.

  • @MaggiGrandari1 Words of wisdom: Beware the food of those you've insulted...

Held og lukke. Prøv ikke at "piss off" disse kvinder.

  • @Sandradung You know she's from Sjælland , right?

  • Your pronunciation is pretty good. I am Danish!

  • No iceladic is much more complicted than danish

  • try icelandic you foolish woman!GO BACK TO THE KITCHEN AND MAKE ME A BIG FAT ASS SANDWICH BLOODY HELL HOW IN THE WOLRD DID YOU GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN U BWAAA!!!!!

  • Its not our 3 letters your retard its skandinavian letters -.-' Embarassing...

  • Halloween?

  • Or Wc.. O_O

  • Hvorfor? D:

Du skulle lige gøre vores sprog offenligt D:

  • 2:34 derp derp

  • @MrTadimiras not at all... the hardest thing to say in danish is 'røgede ørreder' or 'rødgrød med fløde' ;) google translate it

  • i don't know how i stumbled onto this video lol.. jag är svensk men det var roligt att lära sig lite danska:)

  • hej-hej . Is it really the most difficult?

  • Comment removed

  • @MrTadimiras nope, it is said that the two most difficult languages are Icelandic and German.

like the Icelandic is pretty harsh and hard for most people to speek and it is only talked by mostly 400.000 people ;)

  • Danish is a throaty combination of German and English. Still, very cool. :)

  • I can speek danish! :D Okay well i am Danish but enyway.. ;)

  • Jeg er englesk,og jeg snakker norsk, I spoke with a Dane today and oh my god, having spoken to Swede with no problems Danish is weird!

  • Well .. uhm... you sort of creeped me out. But you probably would be a pretty good teacher though. o.o

  • Well done...

  • I hope that next time that you would liven up your vids by shaking your boobs around on screen!I think that this would help encourage me to learn danish language better!

  • er du en fitte???

  • I enjoyed the video! Umm I actually just this past summer stayed a couple of weeks with a family in DK and wish I had known more Danish to use but it is so hard to learn lol. I really do like it though it's harder than German for sure and I have been learning German for the past 4 years now!

  • danish isnt that hard i've been learning it by the way some of this is wrong because my friends tought me differnt and they speak fully danish

  • Comment removed

  • Damn it, I had both of those lists written out nice and clean, and both times the stupid comments section rearranged my lists into paragraphs. YouTube really annoys me sometimes.

  • To summarize the vocabulary learned in this video (Danish, English): Klokken, Clock Elleve, Eleven Jeg, I/Me Mit, My Jeg hedder, My name is (it's a phrase referring to oneself) Er, Is/Are (this is the verb "to be") Navn, Name Toilettet/Badeværelse, Bathroom (the second one is the actual bathroom, the first refers to the toilet itself but the meaning will be understood) Hvor, Where Farvel/Vi ses/Hej hej, Goodbye (various forms) Hej, Hello (informal) Goddag, Hello (formal)
  • To summarize the phrases learned in this video: Klokken er [number]. -> The time is ___. Mit navn er [your name]. -> My name is ___. Jeg hedder [your name]. -> My name is ___. Hvor er toilettet? -> Where is the bathroom? Hvor er badeværelset? -> Where is the bathroom? Farvel! -> Goodbye. (polite) Vi ses. -> Goodbye. (general purpose) Hej hej. -> Goodbye. (very informal) Hej. -> Hello. (very informal) Goddag. -> Hello. (polite) Refer to the playback for pronunciation concerns.
  • "I'm NAMED Ditte..." :)

  • Tusind tak!

  • thanksªª really usefull :-)

  • du er oki! i would du er i would no not you her! it was helpful i will pass through denmark on my way to russian front!

  • "Weird", "weird", "weird". Okay, then. Weird.

  • OMG hendes blik!!!

  • eww she is a embarrassment to danish women :/

  • I doubt that Danish is is most difficult language :) My language I guess is more difficult as we have letters such as ą,č,ę,ė,į,š,ų,ū :)

  • @mantoookaz I doubt that too. Some years ago i was in the news, that danish was something like the sixth most difficult language to lear, so she is wrong. She may have heard it from af friend or something. But danes like to be the best in eny thing just to get known internationally :b

I guess your language er from eastern Europe right? :)

  • You're cute. You're funny. You held my interest...so that I actually learned some words. I'm going to listen to this again and again and then go on to your next video. Thanx so much ; ) xxxooo

  • I know two danish words: Skidefedt and flibbeskønt.

  • @cometothesabbat Flibbeskønt?

  • @dreasmile Maybe its spelled flippe-skønt, but it sounds like flibbeskønt. It's old hippie jargon from the 60s and is used to express something "super-wonderful".

  • @cometothesabbat Oh, I never heard of that. :P

  • Lol, Danish is never in the world gonna be the hardest language to learn. And I speak it.

  • jeg har en store tissemand

  • She even has a geunine Danglish accent hahahaha.. xD

  • @ncat66 lol yeah. Probably because she are Danish hahaha

    Oh wait...

  • For instance: she says "mij" is "I" in english.. in Dutch it means "me"

"Mij" means "me" in Dutch. Almost the same, but Dutch is more logical.

"Jij" in Dutch means someone else, same in Danish.. in German they say "Du" oder "Sie".. less formal. They speak of "Du" when they know someone. In Holland we speak of "U" when we don't know someone... but "Jij" when we do.

  • Danish is a fucked up mixture between Dutch and German.. that's why nobody understands it.

  • @Brulluhman Inderdaad. :")

  • MEN VIT HAVA Á TÍN LÍTTLI TOSKUR xD

  • m mom is danish, but i was born in Canada , her first language is danish and i grew up hearing it from my mormor & morfar .. it kind of helps me say the words now ..i wish i had learned it when i was younger would of been easier

  • How does Danis resemble to English? Does it use indicatives and affixes, like "I am doing something" is written similarry, but with different words? I ask because there are languages (like Hungarian) where these transforms the words. For example english says "my apple", "your apple" where they indicate the owner with "my" and "your", but Hungarian says "én almám", "te almád" where alma means apple, but my and your is the "m" and "d" after the word and "én" and "te" are not necessary in a context

  • @matt92hun To say my and your apple you say Mit æble and Dit æble.. so it's like english.

  • @Felpshine Thanks. And what are the main differences other than the different words? Where does Danish use affix, etc.?

  • very well presented :)

  • Veldig bra!

  • I LOVE YOU!

  • Fuck en klam kælling!!

  • YOUR UGLY

  • @rufilix123 and your a douche

  • Er du Dansker ??

  • @rakusson Hehe. She is just showing the, um, 'mouth actions' required for Dansk :D

  • blah .... it's so ugly how Danish people pronaunce something, and btw can you say for goobye (hej da) too on Danish?

  • @aleksinjo1 I love Danish pronunciation! It is what all English sounds like to me.

  • @Tiwaking well it doesn't ...

  • @aleksinjo1 goodbye is farvel...

  • @Felpshine i didn't ask how do you say goodbye... i asked if i can say hej da but the a with the little circle on top of it ... like swedish people say.

  • wierdo

  • Bliver helt bange for hendes mund...

  • lol

  • also how common would it be to hear people speak russian in Denmark?

  • @charleskilo 1:100000 ca.

  • i am learning russian right now and instead of going to russia i will be going to Denmark next summer any tips on learning it quickly like any good courses online or websites i need help and i understand that yall speak english aswell but i dont wanna seem really noobish and thank you for this videos it is helping me

  • Nice video! I've enjoed it very much. (From Brazil)

  • im danish.. as i recall icelandic is the most difficult language to master...or original danish....;-)

  • @mobspeak haha okay xD

  • YOU ARE SO ARE SO AWESOME :D Jeg elsker dig! <3 :D I hope I got that right and I mean it in a friend way :)

  • LoL

It was so funny, were u drunk?!

    Anyway found the letters: æøå

    Du er sød LoL

Laught All way thru the vid ;)

  • i really enjoyed this vid but gotta admit that Polish is harder to learn, knowing Polish, English and now trying to learn Danish i think im right (:

  • your verry bad at teaching!! but that doesnt make any sense..

uhm but i have a question, i am a dutch person and i've have heard that the dutch language like on the danish language.... can you anser my?

    Thanks(Bedankt)

  • @hollehasses

The reason why some people confuse Dutch and Danish is because the sounds that come out of our mouths sounds very alike. ;) So if you are'nt from Denmark or so, it is easy to confuse it :D

    I hope that helped.

  • Danish is not wierd, you are pretty wierd..

  • Danish isn't the most difficult. It's a pain in the ass, but let's not exagerate.

  • Im from Gothenburg i still speak English in southern parts of sweden and in denmark :P sounds like they have their mouths filled with food while speaking :P

  • It's not that difficult. I'm from Sweden but every time I get really drunk it sounds like I'm speaking danish :)

  • Just learn Norwegian instead, here is a free lesson.

I have just bought boat ice, who wants some-eg har nettopp kjøpt baot-is kven vil ha

    :)

  • Danish is the hardest to learn? I saw ranking where Polish ,was over Chinese and japenese ,and the only one in its cathegory. Chinese ,Japanese and few other were as very difficult. And Polish was on the top as Extremely Difficult. But it doesn't matter ,after all.

  • @Olhor10 I am danish and alot of danes think danish is the hardest language to learn for some reason? But it is pretty hard tho, or atleast compared to english. :)

Ah gud!

  • Hej allesammen! :)

please join my danish learning group on facebook! we can all practice our danish together! the link is on my page :D

  • Comment removed

  • She makes it easier to pronunciate, though. Thank you for your help.

  • lol shes cool

  • Shes drunk.. Typically danish people.

  • whats up with the name - Masteroth1 ?? it sounds like you are a porn star.

  • Hej Klamme!

  • 1:01 lolololol the tounge

  • 1:42 (BIG EYES)!!!

  • @christianhnd 1. Basque

    2. Hungarian

    3. Chinese

    4. Polish

    5. Japanese

    6. Russian

    7. German

    8. Korean

    9. English

    10. Swahili - top 10 over sværeste sprog i verden.

  • @SammySpeaksUp Vent a...

  • i am from germany its kind of easier to me

  • I'm from the Netherlands, the speach is a bit the same, and some words look very familiar. If I hear two danish speak I can almost tell what they are talking about.

For me English is as easy as Dutch.

  • @kitchenfromhell I feel the same about Dutch, some of the words are almost the same. I once heard an expert say that danish and dutch sound the same. Our language intonation is almost the same too, and same expert said that it had something to do with our countries being flat, meaning that we don't have any mountains. I don't know if he is right but it sound logical to me :)

  • What the fuck! Danish is nearly english and you are talking about it like it's fucking Japanese. This is so weird, that it's totally freaking me out. What the fuck!

  • @mumumausi88 lol. Danish is not near english. Belive me. I am danish..

  • CRAP!

    LORT

  • You are an fucking ugly cunt, who needs to dig a fucking hole and stay in it!

    There! From English to Danish!
