  • last time i saw him was with stiv bators, handsome dick, cheetah chrome (who is now a politically-oriented a-hole), arthur kane, and somebody else, don't remember who :(. it was just after they finished pulling all the seats outta the paladium, and to avoid the slammers, did just what you did--out with the elbows!

  • What? His voice is fantastic, in between the punkiest rough shouts and the most androgynous male vocalist ever, have you even listened to 'Hurt Me' album at least?

  • simply the be(a)st....

  • :)

  • I think we can all agree that this wasn't the best performance.

  • his singing is breaking my eardrums but i dig it anyway

  • Along with Joey Ramone, Johnny Thunders was a rock n roll god!

  • Along with Joey Ramone, Johnny Thunders was a rock n roll god!

  • @susan8163 It's punk rock sweetheart, none of that matters.....its got soul, its got guts, its got raw uncensored attitude. And Johnny Thunders, that amazing guy you're yelling at on youtube comments....he's dead. If you explore the history of punk rock, you may come to really appreciate it. :]]

  • @SweetPeach13 Ohh wow lol

    You tell her ;O

  • @susan8163 FUCK YOU! HOW DARE U SAY THAT ABOUT JOHNNY THUNDERS!!! 99% OF ALL OF THOSE BANDS THAT CAME OUTOF THE 80'S RIPPED JOHNNY OFF. JOHNNY IS THE BEST ROCK AND ROLLER THATS EVER LIVED!!

  • Comment removed

  • God, he was not only an amazingly talented (guitar hero, singer, poet and many more) motherfucker, but when he was in the mood he was a spectacular entertainer aswell...

  • rip johnny i miss him so much and this version beats any other versions!

  • Do you love me--------------

  • He just said he couldn't dance lol. Listen to lyrics you nard!

  • Is this on a DVD?

  • fucking walter dude....he was the shit.

  • I always thought he had a great voice, a great sound.

  • This shits on the original!

  • lindoooo!!! Johnny Thunders is one of the best ever!!

  • The best fucking song ever!låååv da moves!!

  • Great dance moves!!!

  • Walter Lure is just the ANCHOR of this mess. Never leaving JT's side.

  • What makes me LOVE Johnny so much was the interview he did where he was asked about mainstream music and he said something to the effect of "I'm not one of those guys who criticize other people's music." You don't make yourself cooler by dumping on others. I LOVE JT.

  • this is the best

    john and walter

    beautiful

  • God, I love this guy!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Contours wrote those in 62

  • I love that version of the song man. Johnny Thunders blows 'em all away!

  • JoHnNy, coMe baCk!!!

  • The best Dancemoves ever performed.. :D

  • this the lyceum show. i was there. incredible. Johnny was totally out of it and during 'So Alone' he really went crazy. it was classic rock an roll. 'It's hard to get a guy off of Wall street' said Johnny and man are we glad he did.

  • This song was performed by The Sonics in their first album in 1965, punkier than the stooges, the ny dolls, the sex pistols or anyone... and it was even before hendrix!

  • woohooooo thumbs up.

    The sonics are ace.

  • do you feel bad because your dick is small?

  • I think this is from the Lyceum show back in 84 or 85. An amazing show. Johnny was well out of his face. Heartbreakers were a great rock and roll band.

  • Ya may be a lover but ya'nt no dancer

  • johnny rules!!!

  • The "LAMF" album,is really GREAT.Everyone song is 100% pure Rock and roll.I love this sound...

  • great song

  • go PCP68 go ! you sound like ze franchmenn in Monthy Python's " Holly Graal. ( Btw , if you meet Pompina Pignola Ramone, would you give her a french kiss from me? you r so nice babe, thanxs)

  • Hmmm. . .not too great, but not too bad. I saw another vid of this song where he could barely get through the tune, so this is quite an improvement. I love the Dolls and Thunders, but they'd have been alot better (and still alive) if they'd layed off the drugs. I think Rock 'n ' Roll is enough of a blast without having to party yourself into the grave.

  • great tune

  • fuck all of you , johnny thunder & heartbreakers were fuckin awsome ! i think ur just grumppy from suckin to much dick !

  • iam john ramone

  • do you love me?

  • naw those assholes suck as bad as jt ever did but at least jt had the decency to die

  • So if you have any decency you know what to do then. You would do a lot of people a favour.

  • And that was my final comment for you assface.

  • i knew a guy named richerd once biggest homo ever but you take the cake bitch bye fag

  • Fuck you man you disrespect the Ramones, New York Dolls, and the Heartbreakers.

  • Hahaha, short Italian man wiggling his ass in front of thousands of people... Go, Johnny, go!

  • suprised he can stand!

  • johnny's so damn talented...i met him before he died...i was like 13 but it was THE rock and roll moment of a lifetime

  • "Umm...did I play?"

  • I love him, now that he can dance. He dances so awesome!

  • i love the way he dances we should all dance like that!

    vive le rock !

  • The Lyceum 1984 - we were there - FUCKING AWESME- Long Live Johnny

  • Haha! look at him go! woooooooo the dancer

  • hes the fuckin man

  • the bassist is hideing

  • no bassist?

  • perfect!

  • I can just picture Jerry Nolan coming up to Johnny after the show and going, "What the hell was that?" and Johnny just shrugging and walking away.

  • Looks like speedballing to me...

  • @RamonesBrat Yup, was hard to get the right coke/op mix. If it wasn't for the speed part he'd be noddin! I think he's pretty sharp here. I saw him about 5 or 6 times. Best one was I think Irving Plaza or the downtown, Que Sera Sera had just come out. We sat in the balcony cause the last time we got in a fight with these douchebags "moshing". Me and my buddy just stuck our elbows out, and we were droppin those skinny punks like flies...lol. Hate the mosh shit. In NYC it wasn't a good idea.

  • I saw the Heartbreakers like 20 times I am 43 years old now but this makes me feel 17 again

  • lol were they good live

  • yeahh i agree he was a great dancer, but maybe it was cus of drugs who knows haha johnny is great and one of the best guitarist ever

  • Johnny was the best guitarist and dancer ever.

  • He's got a dancin beat

I wish I could have been able to see this in person.

  • Awesome!..Johnny moves better than Michael Jackson..

  • The video is from a DVD release called "In Cold Blood". A mix of this show, some interviews and a weird film with some nude French gal.

  • the dvd is called "Dead or Alive", In Cold Blood is another dvd of JT

  • fucking rad good song by the contours

  • What video is this from?

  • His voice is like, WAY off key...

  • That's because he wasn't taking it out on the audience anymore.

  • No, he wasn't singing off key. . . that's called "punk" or "blues" or well, you know.

  • hahahahaha!

    GO JOHNNY GO GO GO
