  • @watchmoretvltd

Hey Which lens you used for making this video and also let me know can we use this Camera with Automatic pan and tilt cranes or jibs so i can do everything right from the remote control ? Thanks

  • @junaid20i Camera lens is the standard lens supplied with the Sony PMW EX3, and yes the camera can be mounted on any professional equipment, jibs etc. get a good tripod plate and camera plate.

  • @watchmoretvltd and the owner of it is garry evans (:

  • i was on a bigger one of that ride (like 4 times higher)

    was fun as hell :D

  • how does the ex3 compare to redone

  • Hi. I have not used the red, but from red the footage I have seen It appears to be a great camera. It costs more than the EX3 and everything seems to be extra. I also hear it can be problematic to use. The Ex3 on the other hand gives you great results out of the box, plus like the red the picture contains enough data to be able to grade properly. I come from a beta sp /digibeta background and I rate the the ex3 very highly for the money.

  • They've got that same ride where I live but its called The Freak Out. Last year, all the electricity went out on it and everyone literally "freaked out" haha I love it! :)

  • Hi Vinny

The problem you describe is unfortunately replicated in full manual mode. The best way to deal with it is to set your record volume quite low, say around 5db, it helps keep the limiter from kicking in and I find it works well. I hope this helps Nigel

  • Cheers, best little camera out there

  • Nice Video, I love the pmw ex3

  • Nice work....ihhh have one Ex3 about a week i pretend to have nice shoots like this...any tips for shooping with this machine? I have a wide lens adapter!

  • Hi

A big thank you for your comments.

The only advice I can offer for using the EX3 is to make sure the camera is solidly locked in to position on the tripod. I use a TLS VCT 14 tripod adaptor and a sony VCT-U14 quick release tripod plate. When I first used the EX3 I was unhappy with the amount of wobble on the tripod, the adaptor & plate make a great stable platform. The only other advice I have is do not use any auto features, shoot everything on manual and keep a close eye on your focus.

  • Hi Carlo

    Thanks for your comments....much appreciated.

  • I have just bought the ex3 and we shoot lots of musical shows and i have found the auto setting for audio inputs on both camera mic and external mic inputs not good as in auto gain control kicks in and takes some time for the sound to get back to normal level i obviously need to stick to manual audio settings, i would appreciate your comments, Vinny
