Why would you get the flappy paddle gearbox with Spyker's exposed gear linkage...that's...that's like going to the watching a porn movie where no one gets naked.
For those who like a little or much more performance, they can fit a supercharger too. There was one in the factory when I visited, although I'm not sure that was an after market job or factory fitted. Anyway, it's possible to have a performance upgrade. Most buyers don't, because they have other cars for that. Like an Aventador perhaps. The fun thing about owning a Spyker is that your neighbor in Dubai isn't likely to own a Spyker.

Spyker didn't make cars in the 70s and 80s. Spyker Cars went bankrupt in 1925. In the 90s, Maarten de Bruijn built a car, which he called Silvestris. Dutch businessman Victor Muller got interested and decided to take the design and actually start producing it under the name Spyker. That's how this whole thing got started. So basically, the Spyker Cars which we know today has nothing to do with the original Spyker Cars, it just uses the name.
This is BEAUTIFUL!! This is not an everyday car, this is not a car to drive.....This is car to use it in special moments, it is a car to more than drive it, WEAR IT!! I like the style in this car. It is like driving a Fashion Accessory. I really really like this car. Now Spyker got SAAB, I think with that brand they will get good profits from the regular car market, not just from the super cars market.

@denali22 It's not about the "challange" of driving a manual. It's about the fun. Be honest. Driving an automatic is boring as hell. Even though driving a manual becomes second nature, it's still much more fun and involving.
And the other reason why most Europeans prefer a manual is, until the recent upcome of dual clutch trannies, manuals always had a huge advantage on automatics. Shifting is faster, you're always in the gear you want the car to be in and you get better fuel economy.

Second i don't like the fackt that they created a flappy padle gearbox. Part of the maggic regarding the old C8 was using that insane leaver. now instead you have these huge padle shifters.
third the old chrome display was a master piece, now its over the top, in stead of retro airplain it looks like retro moon module. (specially referring to those two massive airvents in the middle)
forth and last: look at the frond headlights, they just are not harmonious with the rest of the body work.
first let me state that i was a big fan of the original C8 spyker. it touched all the right buttens, interiour and exteriour wize. This Aileron is kind of disappointing.
i kind of expected that they would have given it a more potent moter, the old c8 was already no match for the 360 modena, and time has moved on. I reallize that this car does not market itself in a similar way however, that does not justify the fact that it is starting to become underpowered. Even a BMW m3 has better figures.
You miss the point of this car. Of course, they could've taken another, more powerful engine; the 580hp V10 from the Audi RS6 for instance. But this car is not ment to be fast. It's more a car you cruise in and just drive around instead of going really fast and racing with it. Spykers never were really fast, aren't really fast and never will be really fast. They're just not ment to be.
Really well shot, but the clips of the car driving round the track - the car needed to be going way faster to match the pace of the music! Great overall effort though guys!

@denali22 It's not about the "challange" of driving a manual. It's about the fun. Be honest. Driving an automatic is boring as hell. Even though driving a manual becomes second nature, it's still much more fun and involving.
And the other reason why most Europeans prefer a manual is, until the recent upcome of dual clutch trannies, manuals always had a huge advantage on automatics. Shifting is faster, you're always in the gear you want the car to be in and you get better fuel economy.

@ratmtbola dont get me wrong, when i see automatic sports cars i LAUGH. its stupid! but to most people driving a car is not a hobby..its a point A to B thing. i'd be way more comfortable with my grandparents driving an automatic car! Second i don't like the fackt that they created a flappy padle gearbox. Part of the maggic regarding the old C8 was using that insane leaver. now instead you have these huge padle shifters.
third the old chrome display was a master piece, now its over the top, in stead of retro airplain it looks like retro moon module. (specially referring to those two massive airvents in the middle)
forth and last: look at the frond headlights, they just are not harmonious with the rest of the body work.

first let me state that i was a big fan of the original C8 spyker. it touched all the right buttens, interiour and exteriour wize. This Aileron is kind of disappointing.
i kind of expected that they would have given it a more potent moter, the old c8 was already no match for the 360 modena, and time has moved on. I reallize that this car does not market itself in a similar way however, that does not justify the fact that it is starting to become underpowered. Even a BMW m3 has better figures.

You miss the point of this car. Of course, they could've taken another, more powerful engine; the 580hp V10 from the Audi RS6 for instance. But this car is not ment to be fast. It's more a car you cruise in and just drive around instead of going really fast and racing with it. Spykers never were really fast, aren't really fast and never will be really fast. They're just not ment to be.
