  • i have been looking at lots of how to play warhammer videos and i have to say nobody explains it better than you man i subbed hopefully you can pop by my channel sometime and check out my vid of my stegadon :)

  • Don't the high Elves always attack first u

  • at the beginning of the video the music is voodoo by godsmack

  • @jeremywazhere

Sure does sound like them doesn't it! ;)

  • @jeremywazhere wu cares

  • MA LAZOR

  • buy a tripod I beg you

  • hey, would your archers be able to shoot in the same turn as doing that turning move? even if they used it twice?

  • @JuliusGulius

Archers can shoot if they move in the movement phase, no matter how far they move.. They will suffer a -1 penalty. If they march they can't shoot.

  • question for the HE army, i was told that sword masters is a best choice, but unlike phoenix guard and white lions that have rules like cause fear and woodsman, but the swordmasters is like everyone else having just the valor of ages and speed of asuryan............so whats thier role as part of HE army

  • @jake23masters

All three units have different roles. I always like phoenix guard and white lions over swordmasters. They just died to easily to magic and missile fire.

  • @foolinjected101 your absolutely right, with toughness 3 they will die easily specially when fighting agaist armies that are heavy on fire power, so how would you suggest using sword master they do have high WS +6!!

  • Would the lizardmen first wheeled then moved into base contact ?

  • Im new to to all this so idk what eny thing is so if you could tell me how to realy get started it would help thx. But this video did help alot 5/5

  • First find an army you like. Then purchase a rule book. My video's are good but I don't list every single minor rule there is.

  • i agree wif that cuz im new 2 ( fantasy , not 40k iv been playin that for a while )

  • ive ben looking for a good guide ive lookd thru alot of vids and these r the best for me:D thank you very much

  • Thanks. Glad you enjoyed them.

  • @FizzCrashBoomBang

True about High Elves striking first. The example in the video was to illustrate a principle. I was not using race specific rules.

  • So you'd have to wheel a bit more so that you could get as many of your models into combat that way (given the free lin up move) - and you had a tiny bit of spare Movement to do this is this example I think ;)

That explanation, and implementation of the rules seems a littel tricky though - thogut I think that's how the 7th ed rule book sets it out.

Would be great to hear yout comments?

  • No you don't give you up the free wheel as you mentioned. As for my reply see below. I hope 8th edition clears this up. It can & has been interpreted two different ways. It really depends on how it is played in your area.

  • Hi there.

Thanks for the vids. They've actually cleared up a few lingering doubts on gameplay.

I disagreed with your lineup move on 1:15 though.

The way I understood the rules is that the Free Move is to line up as you say - but just in the sense of pivoting the attackers to 'line up' versus the opponent.

The thing about maximising combatants is the onus of the charger to manourvre that way, so as to bring as many guys into combat as possible (given his movement allowance).

  • So.. What are the disadvantages of being charged in the flank? Great vid otherwise.

  • you don't get your combat bonus and you probably have less attacks going back at your enemy.

  • Also, your opponent would get +1 to their combat resolution. If you were charged from the behind, they would get a +2.

  • u r amazin!

  • if you use dwarf Thunderers and move you cant shoot. . thats why you go with quarrellers.i think quarrellers have a shorter range.iam new sould iam not sure.

  • Quarrelers have a longer range. It is 30 inches versus 24 of the long gunners.

  • No Quarrelers range is longer and they cant move and shoot either sorry

  • buy a GW line of sight markerlight costs £5

    so a bout $8 dollars

they are so much more compact

  • The marker light works very good for 40K. The laser level shoots out a line. This takes out all of the guessing on line of sight in fantasy. I use it in tourneys all the time.

  • im farely new to playing warhammer fantasy i used to play along time ago but i have forgot how to play if i went into a gamesworkshop store would they play a match or two with me ? or dont they do that anymore?

  • They would most likely give you a demo game. Probably not a full 2000 point but large enough to get you hooked again.

  • ah sweet thanks dude:)

  • Did u buy the movement tray or did u make them?

  • Yeah, I make all my movement trays out of balsa wood. They are cheaper than the GW trays and I get to make whatever size is needed.

  • i don't know if the rules have changed (hence why i'm asking) but when me and a friend went down to our local games workshop the guy that worked there said high elves get to roll first even when the other team charges because of their initiative. is this true or are there some special rules i should know about?

  • THe GW guy had it half right. The do strike before charges this is because of the high elf rule that is they always strike first. ASF does go after chariot impact hits not before.

  • ur videos rock man this helped me so much !!!!!

i kept getting it wrong all the time and my opponents hated me looking in the rule book all the time :)

    thats for the techniques

  • Glad my videos helped. The best way to learn the rules is to play, play, play! I would rather my opponent look up a rule and take a few minutes and get it right. I hate finding out something was played wrong after the fact.

  • Thanks for the video I play lots of 40k and just recently picked up playing fantasy and the videos are lots of help.

  • thanks!

  • I'm looking to find one of those laser pointers that you had, did you get it at a hardware store?

  • Probably so. I found mine at Sears. It is called a laser level. Hope that helps.

  • Thats a useful laser tool did you find it at a hardware store or something, I'd like to get my hands on one of those

  • These are great. No arguments when you pull this out.

  • Thanks. I am working on the next one.

  • i love the vids, keep them coming please
