  • I used to play this game with my brother when I was younger, it scared us like hell but I love the feeling of nostalgia thinking about those days.. From what I remember, the PC always used to freeze when I used the strongest cannons, so that kinda put me off, I must try and install it on my PC when I'm not so high.

  • This game came out when I was 2. And I still love playing it! :D

  • my dad used to play this all the time when I was little

it brings back such strong feelings of nostalgia, i miss the sound of the running units.

  • @ProEmoGurl - Hahah, well im glad you remember it! Thanks for stopping in :)

    Cheers!

    Dac/Lance

  • @ProEmoGurl Brings back fond memories, Harabec hollers "Drop you son-of-a-bitch horses ass! Drop! " and i hear the pitter patter of little feet goin down the hall with chanting of horses ass, horses ass! :) awww i just melt thinking of that game :p

  • @hoppermantis that's such a cute story! I bet your wife was a little miffed at your kid yelling ass though

  • @ProEmoGurl she grew up into a fine young lady. as for the EX ... i still have the same Bose headphones for the computer from the incident :)

  • This, in my opinion, was one of the best mech simulators ever made...too bad no one tries to give it another chance (remake/sequel) nowadays...

The graphics (3dfx !) and the music just made it better.

    Thx for the video.

  • @maddriver7 Oh how much do we wish 2845 would of worked out! The Alpha tech release of the starsiege (2)845 is still out there on some of our great community sites, if you need me to put it up I can as well (640meg file). The group that was puting it together sadly didn't have time to finish it before they had a lot of issues with funds/logistics getting everything set up sadly :( I kid you not, 2845 was something a lot of us were dying to play full game, but the alpha is still badass!

    Cheers!

  • @dacoolist Yes, that is so true. I was disappointed as well that 2845 didn't get released. In fact i was disappointed that Dynamix couldn't make a sequel before they went bankrupt. But who knows...maybe in the future someone will provide Starsiege with the sequel it deserves.

And yes, it would be nice to give me the link to the alpha version of 2845.

  • NICE
