I saw Patti in Evita, Saw her perform this concert live, Saw her Broadway concert in the 90's, Saw her in Gypsy 3 times, (including the first performance she did after winning the tony), Saw her in various other concerts in about 5 different locations. Sorry to agree with most here, but she doesn't pull this song off in this video. Now when I saw this concert she sang it much better, and it also sounds great on the soundtrack. I will say though that these video's really don't do her justice.

Matters of the Heart is by far the best concert I've seen by Patti. I took 2 special friends and they both cried on 4 separate times because Patti had so much passion and the song selection was perfect. But, I keep hoping someone will post on Youtube the end of the concert and the most beautiful lullaby I've heard. I just wish I had known this song when my daughter was a baby because I would have sung it to her every night. So.....Here's to You.....the best lullaby.....find it.

I love Patti but this version is sorely lacking. No one should even try to touch this song. It's perfect by Beth. Just leave it alone or sing it in the shower if you feel you need to sing it

I saw her perform this twice and both times..... myself and most around me had tears in out eyes. You can't tell from this video...but she had tears running down her face
