I don't mean Maine fans lay down the foil and fight people - what I mean is that we love our team, we expect to win, and we have fun. You do realize they put the student section over the visiting goalie for two periods instead of one because we are the ones that get in his head, right? We drive the other teams crazy. Whitehead made note of the fans in his last press conference...(I have been a Maine fan for the last 17 years btw)

Maine fans may taunt teams like every other fan base out there, but I feel we are certainly more classy with language use and good sportsmanship.

@Ice241985 I'm not 100% sure about that. We seem to have a lot of fun (i.e. the effigy of a ref, the booing, the chants about the starting players, etc). That's what it's all about though. If I wanted to be classy about it, I wouldn't be a hockey fan.

I think the 1999 National Championship sums up the relationship between UMaine and UNH quite well. UNH seems to taunt its fans by coming ever so close, but never actually doing anything. They remind me of the Chicago Cubs. I guess I can respect the nobility of representing a team who, as everyone knows, will not win. It's awfully nice of you...and UNH fans have nothing on Maine fans. It's a simple fact.

The Wildcats, the Whitt, hell, all of UNH is a trash dump. At least we've made it to Frozen Fours, and won two national championships. That's two more than you guys have won.

And who the fuck cares about football? You obviously know UNH is a hockey school, as is UMaine. It's not like UNH has a wonderful football program, either. And yeah, we'll see about this weekend. Nothing's in stone

I know I was stoked! When maine scored with 1:30ish remaining in the third I was soooo excited. I was jumping up and down lol. I am a crazy pep band geek/hockey fan. lol. I couldn't absorb it in for a bit since I had to play the stein song. But I let all the excitement out after we were done lol.

Yea it is. We have 1 for sure, 2 definite high caliber goalies coming next year. Scott Darling has already arrived in Maine. The guy is a lot like Bish, 6'6'', agile, puck playing goalie. Already drafted but not apt to leave Maine in a hurry. The other is Pontus Hansson from Sweden. He may not come until next year but he's supposed to be excellent.

The team has enough troubles with the offense right now...I hate to break it to you but Dave Wilson is not the anwer! I mean that nicely!

The first song is the Universities school song so obviously I would have it in the video. The second song talks about hockey so therefore it is appropriate. It also gives the fun, free, funny, entertaining feel that you would get at games.
