The soldiers are not members and do not join the communist party, there are only swearing an oath that we shall protect the country and the party, a soldier in China does not necessarly join the communist party, they are only civil servants, your translation is very misleading.

Yeah, that is the traditional salute for the Party flag (hammer and reaphook). When people formally become members of the Party, they will solute to the flag and swear loyalty.

But without the chinese communist party there would be no independence for this nation to get out of 200 years of misery. Without the chinese communist party, there would not be such an astonishing economic success which turned hundreds of millions people out of poverty.
