I'm not sure if May realised what she was doing when she kidnapped Dawn, but look at it from Dawn's point of view. Tied to a bed and held hostage against her will. And there is some unstable woman threatening to cut her open. I dread to think how terrifying it would have been for her. And at the sam time, Dawn discovers Rob never really loved her in the irst place, it was just an act to get his hands on the baby. As I said, I sympathise with May, but Dawn's the victim, not May.

I know May wasn't the victim, and Rob wasn't either, if Dawn had gone along with what she said, I think it would have been alot easier, I do sometimes wonder why May didn't just get a surrogate, who is willing to have Rob's baby and give it to May after the labour with no fuss.

Obviously she couldn't get one after she had been in a Phsyciatric Unit, they wouldn't let her, she would be classed as 'unstable'.

yeah, I reckon May should have got a surrogate too. Because the baby would still be biologically hers. It's like what Perdy did on Emmerdale (I don't know if you watch that or not).

But then Rob ruined everything and told Dawn he wasn't married and slept with her.

Yeh, I watch Emmerdale, it's the Perdy/Katie/Greyson storyline, where Katie gave the baby to Perdy but not Greyson.

I think in a way they were copying the 'Summergate' storyline, but with a slight twist.

I do sympathise with May, I really do. But the fact that she is infertile gives her no right to kidnap Dawn and plan to perform an illegal caesarean on her. It's a relief that Dawn escaped, or May would have killed her plus the baby.

But I have to agree with you - infertility is a horrible thing for a woman to cope with.

Of course it doesn't give her the right, to be honest I think everything that happened to May and Dawn was totally Rob's fault, and that he was the only one that should have been blamed.

I think she had enough stability in her to look after a 1 year old child.

She wasn't intending to kill Dawn, infact not in her whole storyline was she intending to kill Dawn.

I like May because she was the most interesting character with the most interesting story, that not many people understand.

I feel sorry for Dawn too but she wasn't the one who was barren.

For a woman to find out she has infertility is a huge thing for a woman to cope with.
